Not sure…I paid $2500 for mine a couple years ago
Agree run most of my house on a similar set up for years. 2 furnaces, pellet stove, tvs, computers etc. No issues. Had to use it for 14 days straight during a big storm.

"High THD" and "Sensitive electronics" is a reflex but honestly I've searched high and low for some kind, any kind of study that actually quantified it, and I can't find it. It's basically theory and anecdotes. Also in theory high THD is more of a cumulative issue, meaning the longer something that's susceptible is run under "high" THD, the greater the chances it will fail. The issue is - how long is that? Days, weeks, years? If it's long enough, the point is essentially moot because the average person isn't going to plug their phone into a high THD generator and leave it for 20 years.
And my anecdotes? I've run our whole home on a generator for 7 days+ continuously several times. I have some UPS units that flip out - come to find out that the pro versions allow (in settings) to accept higher THD, but consumer level ones do not. Besides that? Totally fine, and that's with new appliances, computers, deep well pump, furnace, DVR, panel TV's, etc.
So TLDR it makes sense to prefer lower THD however in practice it probably doesn't make much of a difference if any, and to get appreciably lower THD it's going to really cost you.

The idea of biomass has many opponents since it doesn't pay big money to big governments. Generate electricity naturally and entirely renewable with low/no environmental impact? You can't do that!
