Sam's club dropped the in store price in SOME stores this morning for this tv. The 85" QLED has the superior VA panel according to the reviews I read so movies and games will look great.
I picked one up this morning and they still had the $2299 price tag up but scanned as expected at $991. It also included a 5 year All State extended 5 year $100 warranty at no charge.
Easiest way to find one at this price is to check out the SamsClub website and change your pickup stores to see instore pricing. Pickup is available for $4 for non Plus members if you want to risk someone snapping it up in person.
YMMV, many stores are still over $2299 but if you need one, anytime you can buy for 65% off a Sam's price, that's a SlickDeal. Good luck.

I showed up today to pick up the order early because I wasn't sure if it would still be in stock during my pickup time tomorrow. One other guy I had never seen before was there with a flatbed cart. There were a couple of TVs left. We helped each other load our carts with our separate TVs. It is gigantic!
I checked out before the other guy and went out to my car. I opened the back hatch and realized it would not fit unless I unbox the TV. As I was doing so, a couple of different people walked by me and asked if I needed help. I wasn't sure yet if I needed help, and so I told them that I could probably take care of it.
Then, the other guy from the store that I had helped load his flatbed walked past me and said "Hey, if you want, I can load yours into my truck, follow you to your house, and drop it off. " Wow! I had no idea someone would be so kind. I told him that I lived farther away than he probably would want to go. He said he lived in a town that was only about 10 or 15 minutes from where I lived. And he said he could help me.
I said okay, we loaded both of the TVs into his truck, he followed me to my house, we unloaded mine, and then he went on his way. I was so surprised how kind he was, and how nice it was for him to take time to do this.
People are really genuinely kind sometimes.
For skeptics who might say I was too trustworthy: I had his phone number and license plate. And I just got a good vibe from him. I hope he realized what a kind act that was. It makes me want to pay it forward.
If I'm not going OLED, I'd rather have a VA panel over an ADS panel. Lastly, the 2023 QN90C utilizes an ADS panel.

What does the VA panel mean? Is it the best?

It's the panel type used for the display. Off angle viewing isn't the best, but you'll want to be sitting directly in front of the panel. I have the QN95C 85" with VA panel, and my wife and I sit directly in front of it. No issues whatsoever. VA panels have superior contrast as well.
