At $149, this SD listing is for a budget Chromebook. This isn't a gaming rig, nor is it a hardcore creative DTR. It's a laptop for very basic, entry level use -- the MediaTek Kompanio 520 can definitely compete in this space.
Synthetic benchmarks like Passmark aren't everything, but they at least provide a reasonable basis for comparison between different CPUs and architectures. YMMV in real world use.
Mediatek Kompanio 520 (2 primary cores, 2 threads; 6 secondary cores, 6 threads): per Passmark, single thread 1453, multi thread 3949 (17 samples, medium margin of error). Typical TDP per Passmark is 4 watts.
Below is a list of Celeron CPUs powering Chromebooks for sale at Best Buy. Note that I'm not trying to compare apples to apples from an overall Chromebook / price perspective. I'm just looking at various Celeron CPUs and their respective Passmark scores as compared with the MediaTek Kompanio 520.
Celeron n4120 (4 cores, 4 threads): per Passmark, single thread 1097, multi thread 2528 (244 samples, low margin of error). Typical TDP per Passmark is 6 watts.

Celeron n4020 (2 cores, 2 threads): per Passmark, single thread 1151, multi thread 1556 (697 samples, low margin of error). Typical TDP per Passmark is 6 watts.

Celeron n4000 (2 cores, 2 threads): per Passmark, single thread 1034, multi thread 1417 (741 samples, low margin of error). Typical TDP per Passmark is 6 watts.

Celeron n4500 (2 cores, 2 threads): per Passmark, single thread 1390, multi thread 1998 (148 samples, low margin of error). Typical TDP per Passmark is 6 watts.

Other than the Target's deal, it seems like $149.99 is the lowest so far.
The positive things about this is long battery life with touch screen.
The downside is the CPU is not strong
MediaTek Kompanio 520 has benchmark of 3949
(for example, for comparison, int i3 11gen from 2021 has a benchmark of 6133)
But for $149.99, it is a reasonable deal for light browsing.
Mediatek Kompanio 520 (2 primary cores, 2 threads; 6 secondary cores, 6 threads): per Passmark, single thread 1453, multi thread 3949 (17 samples, medium margin of error). Typical TDP per Passmark is 4 watts.
Snapdragon 7c (2 primary cores, 2 threads; 6 secondary cores, 6 threads): per Passmark, single thread 1212, multi thread 3315 (15 samples, medium margin of error). Typical TDP per Passmark 9 is watts. Specs are for the original version, *not* Gen 2.
And just for laughs, the A10-4600M (35 watts) powering my venerable HP ProBook 6475b from 2013, which I still use on occasion to stream video, surf the web.
AMD A10-4600M (4 cores, 4 threads): per Passmark, single thread 1072, multi thread 1925 (1074 samples, low margin of error)

IMO, the decision comes down to whether or not you want a touch screen. To a lesser extent, whether or not a backlit keyboard is important to you. They're both budget offerings and spec'd that way.
Lenovo Slim 3

Slightly brighter screen (300 nits vs 250 nits)
MediaTek CPU scored higher in Passmark single thread & multi thread (scores posted in a previous response)

@$51 cheaper ($149.00 vs.199.99 before Costco membership rebate)
Fanless (quiet)
HP 14" Chromebook Bundle at Costco

I'd take this Acer (Cert. Refurb) for $202.39 from eBay given the 8GB/ 128GB/ backlit KB/ 2-in-1/ touchscreen/ AUE 2032/ 2-year warranty if I willing to spend $200 for an entry-level chromebook (affordable but more processing power).
If I only had $150 to spend and just looking for a lightweight CB mainly for media consumption and light web-surfing, then this Lenovo CB is fine given the decent display coupled with fan-less design and long battery life. BTW, this Lenovo hit $150 serveral times, is now basically a standard sale price. Likely to hit a bottom $130 when clearance sometime later....

8GB4GB of RAM. The Lenovo is a budget (read: mostly plastic) unit with 4GB of RAM. I'd personally recommend taking theRAM,2-in-1 form factor and premium build for the extra $50 (I also personally prefer the Acer brand). However, if you're just buying for basic chromebook functionality there's no doubt that you're getting plenty of ChromeOS bang-for-buck with the Lenovo. And both devices have Auto Update Expiration [google.com] support dates well past 2030.
Good luck!
