This card is used for media boxes where you want performance in encoding and decoding. You also want it to be power efficient on sleep and running. That is where they shine in the those PLEX media servers. They just run the power supplied by the express slot. There are probably plenty of used GPU cards that can beat this in performance and cost less. But I'm looking for something that can perform and run 20 to 50 watts since the PC will be on 24/7. So I'm looking at operational costs too

your card offers 15% more performance at double the TDP (150W vs 75W for the intel card), your card launched at the $169 price point, this card launched at the $149 price point. this card also blows your card away when it comes to encoding. I have a RX 580 8GB and I don't even bother with it for encoding, my onboard intel graphics blow it away.

Low profile refers to the bracket height, not the cooler thickness.

The thinnest, most powerful low profile GPU option that I'm aware of is the Yeston GTX 1650 on Amazon, it is low profile and also single slot design.

Does anyone know if this will fit the Dell SFF computers? Thanks in advance.
The PCIe 16x slot is only single hight... Can you run the card in the PCIe 4x? IDK?

Should run OK, but I'm not sure it will fit. It is a 2 spot tall card, but only looks to have space for a single.

looks like it will work but you lose the other slot since the assrock takes 2 slots space.

my Asrock 570 8GB card I bought in 2019 for less performs better than this.
Your 570 also has hardware support for frame interpolation which works fairly well using Bluesky Frame Rate Converter. Also people comparing power consumption are probably clueless to the actual power consumption of these cards when doing something as simple as watching videos.

Looks like it's the equal of an RX 570--a card that was $140 six years ago.

Wow, low and midrange graphics options are HORRIBLE these days. With the pricing, I guess you should spend $200 for a 6600, the same price it cost a year ago.

Why waste the extra power on this for plex when you could just get a cheap i3 or i5 12 or 13 gen and have quicksync when you need it and a cpu idling at 15 watts. This card alone will add 20 watts to your system load by itself. That's going to add up on a 24/7 server.
Does the iGPU on 13th gen intels do 4K h265 encoding/decoding jobs?

Not really a slickdeal as they have been $99.99 for weeks. The real question is stock. I ordered one from newegg on Cyber Monday and its ETA is December 26th.

Nerd warning. Can't wait to see how it compares to my current RX560. There really aren't that many low profile GPUs. Most compact cases just go integrated graphics. And that's the niche I'm hoping this card fits. Intel is new to the GPU game, the drivers are constantly improving but new. Yet we're still talking 6GB 96-Bit GDDR6 under $100. As long as Intel didn't step on a rake when writing the driver, it should be a decent upgrade even if only for the PCIe4 and GDDR6.

For those of you writing "It can't beat a GTX 1650," understand that it depends on whether your PC supports Resizable BAR (ReBAR) or not. If it does, this is a superior graphics card by about 10fps on average. If it doesn't, then the 1650 is better by about 10fps on average. Also, it matters what you're paying for the card — if you can find a brand-new, half-height low-profile gtx 1650 for $120, then it might be a better deal. Otherwise, this is probably the best price-performance (FOR A LOW PROFILE HALF-HEIGHT CARD) short of going with a low profile 4060 for $325 USD from Amazon.

The whole reason to get this card is either for it's amazing encoding quality and speed (better than both Nvidia and AMD's current gens), as well as having AV1 encoding, and/or for it being a low profile card.

If your goal is gaming, the A750 is routinely $180 and absolutely destroys the RX 6600 with the latest drivers. It competes with the RX 7600 which costs more.

The last real slickdeal was when the bigger A380 card came with game codes for Nightingale and Mirage. That said, amazing card to transcode all your Blu-ray and high bitrate 4K porn to AV1 on the quick. This card effortlessly turns big old H.264 into AV1 at 1/6th to 1/10th the file size while retaining 85-90% visual quality. I'll take that.

Is it any upgrade from RX 570 4gb (gddr5, 300mhz, 14nm, 150w) ? I am looking for smaller form factor (yet very cheap) to fit in my backup computer case.
With rx570 I keep one panel of the case slightly open.
The Rx570 is still quite a bit better than the A380. But also keep in mind that the A380 really needs pci express gen 4 to get the most out of it. If you put that into like an old dell Optiplex small form factor, it's performance is gonna suffer badly

It needs pcie gen 4 and resizable bar. Generally systems that have gen 4 also have rebar as well

Rebar AND pcie 4.0 as well don't forget to mention that.

For anyone who uses this with Tdarr, is there any advantage to buying, say an a750 or a770 if, literally, the only thing this is intended for is transcoding?
