Apparently. However, it seems it's limited to only 24GB. https://www.kingston.com/en/memor...top-q-q540
You can add an additional 32gb stick to this laptop to make it 40gb

Lol I figure if it has a gfx card then it should be decent at gaming no? Or does the title saying "creator" instead of "gaming" trumps that assumption?
I have a lenovo slim pro 9i, similar specs, Can confirm a creator laptop will game, but probably wouldnt be enough for a real gamer. Light gaming, on high settings, My i9- rtx 4050 is doing great!

For some reason bestbuy is not allowing to click on openbox link of this item. Is it me or others also see the issue? It says $774 open box but can't click.

It happens at times, esp with MacBook open boxes.
Click on that "open-box" option multiple times and then scroll down a bit and it would automatically open the side window/box for open boxes. That usually worked for me

Were you expecting a gaming laptop to last longer? 3.5 hours of battery life is pretty normal for device such as this. Can't expect a 550 nit screen to be energy efficient.
AMD gaming laptops have better battery life.

It is quite renamed Asus vivobook pro indeed

Pros:
- stunning screen
- general snappiness / short burst speed
- gpu for " Creator " tasks
- decent low settings gaming, a version exist with the rtx 4060 actually but for way more cash

Cons:
- poor thermal system / throttle quickly
- abysmal battery life even in Igpu mode and dimmed screen
- fan noise, fans kicks off quickly

There might be ways to undervolt and alter fan curved to alleviate some
Of these issues

similar priced m chips macbook is more pratical than w/e this is for "creator" mobile use. terrible thermal, high noise and trash battery life. Not sure what they are thinking tbh. If you absolutely hate apple then Asus's own amd line of oled zenbook is much better suited than this as well.

and for gaming...3050 is not it especially for this price.

The Lenovo deal in AMD would be preferable for battery life definitely. There may still be a competitive new thinkpad deal up in AMD with the new 8000 processors coming. No compelling reason for most people to go with 8000 over 7000 AMD unless you want to play with ai

edit: no. the p16s deals appear dead sadly

how is the fan noise, battery life, and heating issues with such specs for a thin laptop?

There is no way this can not have fan noise. Its got an i9, a video card and thin housing with no room for proper heat dispersal.

Just curious: What was your use case? Gaming or general purpose?

Surely people realize that the battery life estimates are done using the iGPU for marketing purposes? Shady, but companies have always done that to puff up their products against competitors.

If you're running the full 45W of power to the GPU out of a 70Whr battery for any length of time, you're going to drain that battery in less than 2 hours, and that's without considering power requirements for everything else, especially an i9 CPU and the OLED screen. If you're gaming on a laptop, plug it in.
I wasn't gaming, as that wasn't even what I bought it for. It was in normal use. Even with just web browsing the battery was terrible. I expect battery life to suffer during gaming. I would not expect it to be abysmal just doing normal tasks on the laptop. And of course any photo editing in Lightroom was just an absolute power suck.

You really think this is meant to be a gaming laptop with a 3050? It's advertised as a Creator laptop. That doesn't exactly scream "gaming". And like I said, even with the dGPU turned off battery life was still terrible. I would have been happy with 5-6 hours with the dGPU turned off, but I was getting nowhere near that.
