Good deal for a starter router? I need to do some door hinge routing and a trim router seems too narrow for functionality.

This is a great price on a very smooth and powerful router, but I wouldn't consider this a trim router. This is about 2x more powerful, and when using this, one should definitely observe correct cutting direction.

A trim router will work for door hinges - if you need more control, consider attaching a wider heel plate to the router or clamping scrap wood on either side of the door to create a larger surface.
