Doesn't the 4070 blow the 4060 out of the water? Seems like it's worth the extra money?

Duplicate posting. The $749 4060 version of this model makes it look like bad value. Regardless of the relative performance, I'd wait to see if the 4060 version comes back into stock.

It'sa great deal for these specs. It so ignorant to compare to lesser machines or much more expensive machines. The question is. Is this a slick deals for THIS machine? Answer: YES. May rate as the best deal for under $1000. If you don't see it, then your either ignorant or just a threadcrapper. In for 1..for me...I'll keep it 2 years sell it for a few hundred and buy the best deal of 2025/26 for under a grand. I do it with TV's all the time. Same with consoles. Ipads, etc/

It was slick when it first hit 980 but at this point this should be considered regular price. Hold the line boys I see another drop coming

I find intel's CPU setup a bit Janky under Windows with the e-core and p-core needing some tweaking to balance the power and efficiency. But overall this has been a great machine and well worth the money.

Even though it has 4060, this seems a better deal https://www.newegg.com/obsidian-b...6834360269
1. better cpu (not only faster, but way more efficient too)
2. 4070 is only 8-10% faster (same amount of vram)
3. better screen panel in every single aspect.
4. the benefits of using the much powerful integrated graphics.

This one looks good too, at least it doesn't have the shitty 45% ntsc screen panel.

Just curious. Which games are CPU-limited these days? I'm not a huge gamer, but I'll keep a performance monitor on my secondary screen, and my CPU chart never seems to go above 40% (Ryzen 7 6800H). I do regularly see the GPU chart get pegged, though. I pretty much just play DRG (not terribly resource-intensive) and Baldur's Gate 3 (@4K) at the moment.

I suspect that a 12th-gen i7 will be more than adequate for any game you throw at it.

Exactly! I bought this a few weeks ago for the same price, spend another $100 on a RAM upgrade (it accepts 64GB fyi twice that of stated specs) and I use it for 3D sculpting so the 4070 matters for me. Excellent deal and a powerhouse so far 😎

This laptop lives up to it's name TUF, a hotel person dropped my backpack with my laptop (that was in the laptop sleeve area) from a counter probably 8ft up. Backpack fell upside down so the laptop basically slid out and crashed onto the hinge/corner.

The corner is severely dented where the screen is not 90degrees parallel to hinge or the actual laptop base anymore, but everything still functions fine. The hinge clicks when I press on it but it still seems pretty well secured, I've opened and closed the laptop quite often and don't really notice that it's damaged or weakened.
