    Some states charge tax on digital downloads; others do not. (Lots of questions and arguments in the thread about this.)

    You can use Free Fillable Forms (https://www.irs.gov/e-file-provid...able-forms) - which is provided for free by the IRS with no income limits and free e-filing. I usually use TurboTax (free as long as you don't file) to check my numbers and to make sure i filled out everything correctly

    Deluxe Desktop does stock transaction downloads you do not need premier desktop. Deluxe ONLINE version doesnt handle stocks and you need Premier ONLINE for stock transactions. Intuit does this on purpose to confuse people.

    An additional thing to consider. Around Christmas time I make sure to get as many of my purchases with no-rush shipping as possible. We don't stream Amazon videos that often and are not really app buying people. Ordinarily no rush credits would expire on us but when this deal rolls around each year, the non-gift card version is also discounted but you can apply your no-rush credits to it.

    In a case like mine, the better deal is to forego the $10 gift card and instead use your Amazon no-rush credit bonus. Mine this year was $27 which means I was able to order Home and Business for $51 after tax.

The software won't install unless you sign in to your Intuit Account online. Importantly, your product license code can only be associated with one Intuit Account.

    Your license code will then be stored in your Intuit Account, should you need to install the software again.

    Do I need the Home and Business version if I did DoorDash and Task Rabbit or can I use the Deluxe version for filing taxes on those earnings as well as business expenses?

    I've used this for years way back when it was free. Now it's 40 or so dollars and you have to pay to e-file and other charges. Is H&R about the same minus the high price?

    Mainly for the scenario where TT is installed on a single shared computer and multiple returns are produced, individual returns can be pw-protected. For the scenario where a shared Intuit account is used it probably doesn't matter since the returns aren't physically adjacent.

    Turbotax desktop is incompatible with quickbooks online apparently and cant import anything. These are useless to business owners that use Quickbooks online/App.

    No, this 1-day deal from amazon only occurs during the last few days of the year and doesn't return until the following year.
