So? I'm hiking a few feet from the subaru to the camp spot, or the backyard for when kids want to use it. The day i decide to hike into a remote mountain lake and do it more then once, is when i will consider the ultralight 2oz 4 season tent people like you use while scoffing at a backyard tent of 10lbs.
You could learn a little good manners practice. I didn't say anything bad about tent, just pointed a few weak spots. Still, Walmart was selling recently 4 person with aluminum poles Research Outdoors tents for $40.
Manners ? Says the one that focuses on the bad points with hardly any focus on the good points. So, since you lack manners, I'll focus on the good points for you. The tent is $35, yet is still built in many ways, correctly with functionality in mind. Notice the rain canopy with the vents up top and the bottom closer to the ground. This promotes air flow to come in from the bottom and out through the top. This provides more than just good ventilation. This provides the coolest part of the tent to be on the outisde of the inner tent and down low. The coolest part of the tent is where condensation will likely happen. In this case it will be away from the people inside the tent on the lower part of the rainfly (thye inside part) where it is most vertical and so likely to just drip down the lower edge of the rainfly and on the ground. The people inside might not even be aware of the condensation at all since the designers of the tent did it right. All this on a $35 tent. Sure, it has fiberglass poles and is a tad heavier than it could be, but for $35 I doubt you'll find a better tent anywhere. So, your lack of manners is because you focus on negatives without a counterbalancing focus on the positives.

Great brand excellent price. A little bit heavy if you're hiking, but for short hikes and camping will work. Dont forget to look for ground padding & floor isolation.
if one is backpacking with this tent no floor insulation needed. Padding comes from a take along self inflating pad to lay on like a Therm-a-rest or the past few years I see yoga mats. I have two of these (one spare) and they are very good quality and design. Rained hard one night and not a drop inside.
According to this YouTube video, this MH100 "Fresh & Black" is not the same tent (besides just the black interior). It appears to be higher quality with thicker fabric throughout, plus more ventilation areas versus the basic MH100 you linked - even though they have the same MH100 model number prefix.
And $35 seems to be by far the lowest price this particular model tent sells for online since it's a Walmart clearance item. As far as I can tell, everyone else has it for retail or close to retail of ~$100 for the 3-person model.
For those reasons, I took a shot and copped one. Thanks OP. Great deal.
Really looking forward to the all-black interior. 👍
Bought mine from WM at $28. in Sept. Decathalon had them for same as did Dicks. Optics Planet shows $28. now.https://shop.opticsplanet.com/dec...erson.html Very good tent with the full fly.
