Not worth it tbh. Cringe ass voice overs, EA putting in a limit of restarts per race, if you leave races then you loose money, parts of the game is hard on purpose which makes you settle for 2nd and 3rd place in some races, and same rubber band AI. I already know the "git gud" no life people are going to come after me because i don't want to dedicate my life to the game.
I actually hated the soundtrack. Any way to turn off the soundtrack?
Great game, and one of the best soundtracks in many years on any game.

I wanted to try this game and last sometime last year Steam had a free weekend. So excitedly I downloaded and was disappointed. First, it installs the EA app (or whatever), second the whole game is cringe, the music, the clothes/style, etc. And third the game just wasn't fun for me. The cars look really cool in that Automodelista cel shades style but that's about the only thing I liked out it. YMMV

agreed one of the worst NFS games ever. Need to just redo NFSU2 and update and make it 3, bring back brooke.
Its a good price for an extremely subpar game. NFS Heat or payback at $4 is a much better racing game. Unbound has insane AI rubberbanding, lots of grinding to get good parts and worst of all: extremely cringy voice acting. 10x worse than any previous entry.
I would rate this lower than NFS rivals.
The racing is solid, and I love the combination of realism mixed with comic book effects, but there are SO MANY COPS. I spent more time trying to escape/avoid them on my way to races than I did actually doing races. So much of the time, I had to pass my destination while outrunning the cops, then had to spend several minutes getting back there, while trying to avoid cops that always spawn ahead of me on the street that I'm heading down.
I bought this for the playstation 5 after learning the map was based in Chicago. Let's just say after 5 hours of forced playtime...I got bored and sold it.
Looks like these newer games play and look like every other released before it.
However, I bought N4Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered - now THAT is a great driving game!
Bought during the STEAM sale... its soooo bad.
Been playing NFS for nearly 30 years and this is the only one I have ever decided to refund. For under $10 I wouldnt usually bother but it was so bad I didnt even want it in my library.
Its like they took everything that everyone hated about previous games, rolled it into a ball, and somehow made it worse.
I've put close to 200 hrs on this on PS5 but almost exclusively in its online mode because the campaign is horrendous.
You can put literal hours of work into races that don't even give you unlimited tries, and then once you have some money, the game's police system will try its absolute best to take it all away. After a few times of this happening, I ditched the campaign entirely.
The online mode however - I had an absolute blast playing it. Racing actual players with your own Spotify playlist and not having to listen to terrible NPCs from the campaign is the way to go here.
I'm currently playing Forza Horizon 5 and while that has annoying as hell NPCs as well, it's campaign is the complete opposite of NFS Unbound's.
Denuvo isn't from reddit, it's an anti-cheat software that installs a kernel mode driver which is devastating to personal privacy and security. It also hampers Linux gamers, which I and many are exclusively.

Perhaps you're counter trolling that dude but that comment just reeks of "le reddit army is here" from YouTube. Why do social media sites (SD included) have to be tribalist, it doesn't make any sense.

a little repetitive but not everything is Underground 2.
EA, where is our Underground 3 ?
