Correct me if I'm wrong but these Sharks do not allow for pile height adjustment, right? If so, anyone have any experience using them on different pile heights? I have higher pile in one area of my house with low pile in another and don't want to have to use two different vacuums.
Cheap outdated bristle only brush roll that is useless on longer hair that will constantly get tangled up. Ever since I made the switch to the newer power fin self cleaning roll, in the year I had it I NEVER once had to flip it upside down to clean the longer hair clogs that gets complied with carpet and dog fur. Unless you only hard hard floors I would suggest going next model with self cleaning brush roll
This thing has phenomenal suction - bought mine for ~$100 on eBay brand new from a private seller as a 2nd vacuum for when I need to use the hose (My Dyson is atrocious when trying to use its hose because you have to completely unwind the wired cord, and it always wants to tip over due to the Ball style). Now I just use it for everything and the Dyson has been unused for a year. It has also replaced my Shop-Vac for woodworking activities because compared to my Vacmaster shop-vac, the Shark has way more suction so all the super fine saw dust is captured (the hose on the Shark easily detaches from handle allowing me to hook it directly to my saws with a small adapter). The bin is ~4x smaller than my shop-vac so I have to dump it more often....but the extra time needed to empty the bin is worth it because saw-dust isn't plastered all over inside my place (so less clean-up after woodworking) since the Shark has amazing suction.
Just bought another model of Shark that lasted 3 vacuum sessions before motor overheated and died. Will never buy another Shark product.
They get good reviews on their higher end stuff, but they feel cheap to me. Maybe the quality has changed on the more recent models? Same company that makes Ninja kitchen appliances, FYI.

I just received my vac yesterday and it didn't work on my high pile rug. Super bummed about that
