Makes you feel like you did something when you just gave your kid sugar instead of medicine, yes.
For those with Costco membership: mMy Costco warehouse has this three pack on sale for $12.49 https://www.costco.com/zarbee%27s...4788.html1
12 ounces total, $1.04/ounce vs this deal at $1.25/ounce
also not sure if it works, but pediatrician always recommends it.
please note: the syrups in the Costco bundle are not exactly the same as what Amazon is selling.
I *think* it's on sale until 1/21, if I recall correctly.
It does work but not as fast as normal medicine (e.g robitussin).

Does this actually work or just supported by crunchy moms who don't believe in real healthcare?
Not that straightforward when you're dealing with toddlers. (Kids >4 years old). You can't just give them some Mucinex or equivalent and have them be fine in 20min. There's hardly any over the counter remedies for them that deals with congestion. And when you try to look into it they only recommend giving straight honey and using humidifiers. So parents with younger children don't have many options. This is one of the few. I personally just pay a few bucks for the bottle of honey for my toddler.
"The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends against giving children younger than 4 over-the-counter cough and cold medications because these medicines haven't been studied well enough in children of this age group."
People are so quick to bash a "natural remedy" even though It's literally the only thing doctors recommend...🤦 ♂️

I guessed that Jamie's comment was genuine, albeit with a touch of abrasion or snark, depending on perspective. There's a potential they may not have childcare experience and only have knowledge of "granola" parents. Truth be told, I would have thought a similar line of question as them up until about 18 months ago. Man, was my world jarred when I came to find there's essentially nothing out there for common cold symptoms for the <2 ages. In my case, ignorance sure was bliss…
We tried this, the kids liked regular honey better. Worked better too as they were willing to take it more often. This is basically glorified honey that tastes awful.

Don't be naive. This comes in a bottle from a factory, there's nothing natural about Zarbees. There's even a class action against them. Remember homeopathic products are not regulated by the FDA. There's a recent outbreak of children being overdosed on melatonin because of unregulated dosage levels. That was also Zarbees. For all you know this could be snake oil, the only testing on it is from anecdotal evidence 🙄
Have not had any success with these for any relief in symptoms. Pedestrian keeps referring us to these. It's Homeopathy medicine so I wasn't expecting much but atleast with honey I was expecting something. Placebo effect medicine.
No medicine helps cure a cold or cough. All including this one help with the symptoms. Zinc is said to improve immunity which helps get rid of the child faster. Not medical advice
The parents of JonBenet Ramsey must have also used zinc.

Your quotation doesn't say they recommend giving them this, just not to give them medication meant for older children.

Just because FDA doesn't regulate something doesn't mean it doesn't work or isn't good.
Just because it comes in a bottle from the factory doesn't mean it is not natural
I don't use this product nor attest to it. I'm talking in general
I tend to lean towards real medicine. But for those interested, I found this article from Mayo Clinic that says studies show honey is just as effective as cough medicine.
This stuff is basically honey. So save even more with a spoonful of honey at bedtime.

What you're describing now is a gamble or a lottery. When you put the words gamble and medicine together would you feed that to your child. Like come on. I studied pharmacology and medicine is the fine line between therapy and poison. There is no luck involved because of extensive studies and governing bodies like the FDA

I'm talking about FDA and natural products in general not about Zarbees. I'm crazy about neither.
