They really should put a usb c/thunderbolt hub on these
CES starts in a few days. Lots of OLED monitor announcements coming, along with pricing. Jsut wait a few days.
These comments are nuts. Telling people on the Slickdeals website who are looking for deals to wait for the new models that come out in the next few months that will most likely near double the price. Makes no sense.

I own this. I notice nothing with the text. It's fine. As for the tech, the pixel refresh every 4 hours is sort of lame but if it stops burn in I'm ok with it. This also has a two year warranty that does cover burn in.
FYI the burn in warranty is a grey area. Dell says you must buy from them direct to get that part of the warranty. I told them that vendors need to make that more clear.
The HDR1000 looks pretty darn amazing. Watching movies and playing video games with really dark scenes, it really allows you to see things that weren't possible before. I'm sure really dark games like the new Dead Space will look amazing. I wouldn't keep HDR1000 on at all time. When I'm doing actual work on my PC I turn off HDR, I don't need my eyeballs seared. Any movies and video games? The HDR1000 is being activated.
I'm on M3B104, what version of windows are you on? The only time HDR1000 has looked great to me, is when I used it with my Xbox series X. Video streaming on this setting vs HDR400 always looks worse. Support is not helpful as they just ask me to reset the monitor every time. I blame mostly windows as my wife's MacBook Pro looks way better in most HDR settings.

I have the same firmware. I'm using Windows 11. When HDR1000 is on nothing looks strange to me on windows. Mind you I use dark mode on everything in Windows. So my screen is mostly black when navigating around in Windows settings and when navigating websites I've installed "dark reader" on every web browser. It looks great.
I think I've encountered some instances where a TV show that is naturally bright and is not HDR compatible looked too bright looking. But that has been rare. Mostly everything has worked great with the HDR1000.
I just picked one up. Always wanted to try a curved ultrawide and the resolution is perfect to sunset my 3080ti until the 50 Series launches. Eventually i can move it to my Sim Lab racing rig as a dedicated monitor.
I have a 28" 4K 60 monitor from 2014 that i still cant max out with most new releases so whats the point? By the time the 50 or 60 series cards are out there with real 4K muscle Gen 4/Gen 5 panels will be out.
would maybe buy if 3k, but no point getting the top tech if going in reverse on resolution. btw, do ANY top monitors manage to have no fan?
I had the same mindset for a long while, but after getting a 4090 and a top end processor and then I still have some trouble driving games at my OLEDs native 4K panel resolution(with quality settings turned up), I would very seriously consider a 1440p for my next display so I could more easily drive it at native resolution.

glad you realized I typoed 4k. lol. Some people would have been like "what's 3k?". lol.

Hoping the ASUS ROG 38" I ordered from Amazon for $800 actually ships.

Came to say the same thing. Should be seeing more DP 2.1 monitors.

The Phillips monitor that uses this panel has a usb-c hub and kvm built in. My fiancé just picked it up, it's great.
