I was gong through my spam and noticed an email from "Verizon Class Action Settlement Administrator", of course it looked like spam but I decided to open it anyway. The body of the email layed out the lawsuit where Verizon lost and is liable for $100 million. It goes on to say that the records shows I was a customer between 2016 and 2023, which qualifies me. Before clicking on the link to file the claim, I searched "Verizon Class Action Settlement" and it was all over the net from legit sources. I clicked on one of the links and brings me to a short page that required a "Notice ID" and a "Verification Code" which were both in my email. Upon enetering the details, My full name and address and account number populated (data from Verizon).
I filled out a few other things and received an confirmation email. Not sure how much I'll get but $100 is max.
Must be filed by April 15th 2024.
Edit: This only applies to Verizon Wireless customers only.

It does not apply to other Verizon products or services (e.g., FiOS).
$15 a minute.....
Their roughly 4.5 million customers get $15.00 a piece.
Sounds fair.

Class action lawsuits generally make the lawyers rich, the actual "victims" get nothing to write home about and the offending party writes it off as it is generally a slap on the wrist. Yaaaay!?!

Has anyone else received it? It would be helpful to track the data points here in the comments!
