Why is it garbage?

Don't know about deal, it's been this price for weeks

Here are two reviews of many: For some (very few), this might constitute a decent deal due to financial or form-factor constraints. But, around this price point, and with such a short warranty, you can do better with an RX 580/590 8GB or something else on the used market. In fact, I've bought used before where the seller had a copy of the original receipt, allowing me to register the used GPU for warranty.

I get what you're saying but I don't know about it's "garbage". Seems pretty comparable to a used 580/590 that has no warranty. This seems perfect for those who want about performance but a warranty and longer driver support before kicked to legacy.

But this comes with a 90-day warranty. Whereas you can get the RX 580/590 at a slightly higher price brand new, with twice the VRAM and full 2-3-year warranty. As for driver support, I don't think future driver updates will make this card any better than it is now.

Only 2 video outputs? Weak. Yeah, I'd also hard pass on this and get a 580 instead.

Have you bought one such card and used it? Sure its legit? Where and from what brand?

I'd like it if there are such good deals but I've been suspicious.
The only 580 / 590 cards I see new for the past year or so have been from weird off name brands that I'e never heard from. Like gibberish all caps brand names on Amazon.
They looked like decent deals but never heard of the brands and they seem out of China. It just seems suspicous they're building brand new cards with 6 year old chips.
Then I ran across one youtube video who did a review of several of those 500 series new off brand cards and seamed some of them were very likely counterfeit or used chips.

He bought a used one that was never registered so he got a full warranty upon registration. He got best of both worlds. Not a typical case. Lots of used in eBay but no warranty

Ok, I see thanks, missed that. Definitely not typical at all. Hardly expect that can be reproducible.

XFX is a reputable brand, and you can buy one brand new from Best Buy: https://pcpartpicker.com/products...1539607552

Brands like EVGA and ASUS allow transfer of warranty from the original owner. Other brands might also... Either way, if you talk to the seller, and they have the original receipt, you check the brand's official policy and see what you can do. Some brands will provide warranty based on the date of manufacture if you don't have a receipt. Brands with good customer service will even tell you how much warranty is left on any given GPU if you give them the serial number. It just takes a little more research, but when you're cash-strapped, you do the best you can to get the best deal. It's what I did.

I've done it twice in the last 2 years. Both times, it was ASUS GPUs, and ASUS customer service has been awesome to me. The first time, I had a picture of the original receipt. The second time, no receipt, but the warranty applied according to the date of manufacture.

Some brands allow warranty transfers.

Soyo Rx5700xt can be had for $40-120 new on Aliexpress depending on if it's on sale. Been using one for months. Soyo is a somewhat known brand that has been around for years. Soyo use to manufacture motherboards and other PC parts. 6500XT can't really game. 4gb vram isn't even supported by some newer games.
