Does anyone have experience or know if I can do this to bring my Xbox One X back to life?
On your screen for the xbox, the transfer speed is measured in Mbps whether its from the Internet or disk to disk transfer.
bit / 8 = byte
1024mbps (mbits per second) = 128MB/sec
So you're mention 1024=125 is close, but 350mbps is not 35MB/sec. 350mbps = 43.75MB/sec
Your 500mbps service = 62.5MB/sec

I learned something today. I always thought 500mbps was the same as megabytes per second
Oh I'm an idiot lol. That makes a lot more sense, thanks for explaining
I'm interested in this too, only difference is I want to plug this into my 4 Bay QNAP USB for backup of my NAS, is there a better solution than this?
Yes these are just USB drive marketed towards Xbox customers. They work on windows as well.

No personal experience with that yet, so I raise the question.
That is true however you can play all backward compatible games directly off of drive about the only plus I have a 1tb wd card and a 1tb wb d10 nvme and it's the same deal prolly will have to jump to something this large but was hoping for one that you can play directly off of to come out

You CAN RUN GAMES from THIS drive on an Xbox Series X. The key to that statement is that you cannot play a game that is displayed only as 'Series X/S.' You can play all games that are sold/developed for the Xbox One and below.
The way to determine this is to look at the top of the front disc case cover and read the banner.
If it says "Xbox Series X", it can only be stored on the external drive.
However, take a look at one of the newest released games out right now, Call of Duty Modern Warfare III. Across the top banner it reads "Xbox Series X / Xbox One - Smart Delivery Series X."
This disc can be loaded/played on an Xbox One, and can be loaded/played from an external drive on an Xbox Series X.
You can use it to play and store ps4 games. But you can only store ps5 games, you cannot play ps5 games directly off an external HDD drive. To play games off a drive, you need to use a conpatible SSD in the expansion bay.
