This printer is part of an ongoing promotion that doesn't seem to have a dedicated page.
Receive 30% Amazon Promotional Credit (up to $100) On Select Printers [amazon.com]
Not all printers have this promotion. You must receive a notice at checkout about "Qualifying Offers" for a listed "Promotional Credit."
Even though the promo credit is limited to $100, some printers are almost never on sale. This is a rare chance to receive an offset for buying certain printers.
The above link is for a search query with these parameters:
- Seller: Amazon
- Category: Computer Printers
- Brands: Brother, Canon, Epson, HP
- Price: $25-$1000
- Delivery: Prime (Hides "Out of Stock" Listings)
- Sort: Price - Low to High
Here are searches for each brand:
-
Brother [amazon.com]
-
Canon [amazon.com]
-
Epson [amazon.com]
-
HP [amazon.com]

Epson has pushed out firmware updates that will completely lock out printing if it detects non-OEM ink. Research it. Lots of unhappy customers.
Same with HP and their non-tank printers -- fixed to not print if you use non-HP ink.

Same with Brother printers -- none of their Inkvestment tank printers (except one low end model) is on promo.
Tank printers are the future if you don't want to be forever tied to high-priced OEM cartridges.

I have this printer, you can put whatever ink into the tanks as you want. How is it going to know what brand you are using? It's has tanks. 🤣
This one is the best budget for sublimation printing. I use it for that purpose and use many different brand inks.
