I like bone conducting headphones. But the microphone on these is absolutely atrocious and if you accidentally triple click instead of double clicking for the next song it redials the last call.

yes. are you expecting audiophile quality, no. main benefit is spatial awareness when running, cycling, or working in the office.

Might be harder to tap into the 2-year warranty though thru ebay, which Shokz is pretty good about honoring. I just got a new set of OpenRuns after my headband snapped after using it heavily for 18 months.

I've had a pair of Openmove for a little over 5 months now. I've listened to them every day, except one, for at least 5 hours per day. They're rated at 6 hours battery life. One day I had them on for 11 hours, 10 minutes, and still had 40% battery life.

That said, I don't listen them loudly, but that's not what they're for. I really enjoy them

Is this the cheapest option worth trying? Or is there any adequate, more budget option?

This is a good deal. I bought my Wife a set a few years ago because buds would hurt her ears and rarely stay in place. she uses hers all the time for audio books, calls, etc.

**It was this same brand but not this model.
We got hers at sams club

Searched on EBAY, easily find <$50. So not a deal at all.

I have knock offs that last 8-10 hours on max volume. Do these last up to 8-9 on max?

I dont always use max volume but in loud environments such as in a car.

Even driving my van, I don't have to max out the volume.

So can you listen to bone conducting at loud volume for longer duration without damaging your hearing? I am still not going to buy this, but I am curious.

Work surprisingly well. I have a pair that is 4-5 years old and still going strong. In for another one

I've been using their AfterShoxx for a couple of years now.

I like these headphones for walking around town and listening to podcasts.
I like there for working on conference calls.
These feel great on the ears, can wear them for hours without my ears starting to hurt or get tender from pressure.

I don't use these when I want full immersion though, like gym. These are like listening to the TV in a room. You can hear the sound, but you'll here everyone else too, which is great if you need that. Could put in earplugs for immersion, but I won't do that.
