I've had a unit like this for the past 12 years. The big positive, is being able to put a load in to wash and dry before leaving for work (or going to sleep) and having it done by the time I'm back. The negative - it takes 3-5 hours for a load to go through wash and dry. I dont recall this ever being an issue for me, as we dont typically have anything that needs to be washed and dried quickly - but thats something to keep in mind when considering this machine

Do you have a unit with an actual heat pump? Lg and other brands have sold other models that don't use heat pumps. They use a cooling plate powered by water which causes it to take much longer to dry. I have one of those units as well, and i agree its not for everyone cause if you need something dried fast or just cleaned fast its just not going to happen. But the heat pump based units are much faster (wash and dry in 2-3 hours). Slightly slower than a traditional drier . But pretty darn close in my opinion and no need to move the close saves you some time as well(unless you need to take things out of the drier to air dry). The other big change that takes people a bit to get used to that all ventless units have is that they build up humidity in the machine. When you open it up once the cloths is done the cloths will almost feel a bit moist. This is just cause the air in the chamber is a bit humid. But it does confuse people the first time around.

Overall, all-in-one units are amazing in their convenience and efficiency, but they introduce some new quirks that you do need to get used to. I personally don't think i can ever go back to any other type of unit.

I have been using the GE Profile all in one for the last couple of months and it takes about 2 hours for a full load. These newer models use heat pumps to generate hot air. Older models of all in ones used a different technology. Check and see what yours is. May explain why it takes so long.

Still stuck at "awaiting shipping" but transaction has posted to credit card, did it take others a long time to get an actual ship/install date?

If like my experience (Northern California via RXO for last mile). I got "confirmation" the day before, then was told it won't happen the next day, then later voice call saying delivery tomorrow. I didn't get "Window" of 1:30 to 5 until end of the day before.

Didn't get actual time until day of 1/2 hour before delivery.

Cancelled order after realizing that most of the reviews are shills for LG. Pretty much every review not part of a seeding program is negative, with an emphasis on long dry times...seems like too much a risk - will wait for the next deal when real users are out there doing reviews.

I ordered this from LG Partner site on Friday Jan 12th and the delivery was scheduled for today Jan 22nd. LG order status status still says awaiting shipping. So I stayed home from work today and I haven't received a phone call, or email letting me know that delivery will definitely happen. So I called the LG customer service number and it asked me to enter my order number. The automated system says no such order exists. Mind you, my credit card was charged for the full amount on Tues Jan 16th, The foreign lady who I could barely understand couldn't find the order either. After holding for 20 minutes, she finally came off hold and told me she would have someone call me. I waited almost 3 hours and no call back. So I called again, same thing happened with someone else. But this time she said I would have to send an email to [email protected] to get order update. This is strange because LG CNS appears to be located in South Korea. Who knows when they will actually read it and get back to me. This is not what I expected from a company as large as LG. Anyone else have a similar experience?

Just sharing my experience so far:

I used the Yahoo account method and ordered on 1/15. I set my delivery date to 23 (with 19/20 being the soonest available at the time). Absolutely no movement on my order till the 20th, when the buttons under "MANAGE ORDER" said "Cancel Pending", but the status still said "Awaiting shipping". I received a shipping notification this morning (1/22) and status has updated to "Complete".

I have not yet received any other information about the delivery tomorrow besides a tracking number for a "custom" carrier.

We'll see if they actually deliver tomorrow, but up till the day before (today), there was basically no motion on my order.

Mine was the same and even the morning of delivery my status was "awaiting shipping" with "cancel pending" showing as well. Delivery people called mid-morning on that day and I did receive the washer on my scheduled delivery day despite no other communication or status between the order and the truck calling me. This was Friday last week.

If you have questions about your order, you can email them at [email protected]
I wouldn't use the above email since it only deals with LG.com orders.

Hey just to provide feedback on my end. My unit was dented when delivered. I sent photos and details to the above email but never heard back. I then called LG's support number as mentioned above and they were able to look up my order. The lady who picked up first offered $170 refund, then upped to $230 when I asked for a replacement. When I insisted on a replacement, I got transferred to a mysterious department and the first response I got was I was doing it "wrong". I should be calling somebody else. When I confirmed with them with the number I called, they acknowledged that it is the number to call. I called again, this time I was told to send my email to [email protected] and they'll let me know if next steps.

This is my first time dealing with LG. I'm surprised how disorganized customer service is for a company of this size. I'll update how it goes next. Not optimistic.

Combo washer was delivered and installed today. Order status on the LG partner site still says awaiting shipping and cancel pending button still there. Credit card charge still not showing. I was getting worried since there was no communication from LG about making today's delivery date, but in the end I got it on time. Everyone else will probably get theirs too. I used a yahoo email for the partner site.

Update: After using it more than 12 times over the past week, we love this machine.

Again, this definitely requires an adjustment from separate washers and dryers, but is one that we welcome, forcing us to wash more often, and not wait for clothes to pile up.

Our wash and dry cycles have been anywhere from 1:45 to 3:00 hours depending on the load size and type. Not much of a difference for us on the longer end, where we'd spend 2:30 hours with our old washer and dryer

Everything has been washed and dried nicely and we feel good about the fact that after all wash/dry cycles, the door gasket is bone dry

Just wondering how bad is the dent? Is it on one of the sides? If so, I'd take $230 and make this deal even slicker...LG customer care/support can be pretty bad so prepare yourself mentally...
