Bonus/Account Information: Offer not available to existing Chase checking customers, or those whose accounts have been closed within 90 days or closed with a negative balance within the last 3 years. You can receive only one new checking account opening related bonus every two years from the last coupon enrollment date and only one bonus per account. Coupon is good for one-time use. To receive the bonus: 1) Open a new Chase Total Checking account, which is subject to approval; AND 2) Have your direct deposits totaling $500 or more made into the new checking account within 90 days of coupon enrollment. Your direct deposit needs to be an electronic deposit of your paycheck, pension or government benefits (such as Social Security) from your employer or the government. Person to Person payments (such as Zelle®) are not considered a direct deposit. Micro-deposits do not qualify as a direct deposit for the bonus. Micro-deposits are small deposits, typically less than $1, that are sent to your account to verify it is the correct account. After you have completed all the above requirements, we'll deposit the bonus in your new account within 15 days. To receive this bonus, the enrolled account must not be closed or restricted at the time of payout. Eligibility may be limited based on account ownership. Bonus is considered interest and will be reported on IRS Form 1099-INT (or Form 1042-S, if applicable).
Offer availability subject to change. Other Chase checking bonus offers may exist concurrently.

Yes the $300 was deposited 4 days after the direct deposit hit.
The slicker deal is combining it with opening a Chase savings for $900 total bonus.
Open a Chase Total Checking account and Chase Savings account using https://account.chase.com/consume...vingsoffer
Chase Total Checking: Get a $300 bonus when you set up direct deposits totaling at least $500.
Chase Savings: Get a $200 bonus when you deposit a total of $15,000 or more within 30 days of coupon enrollment and maintain the balance for 90 days.
Chase Total Checking + Chase Savings: Get an extra $400 bonus ($900 in total bonuses) when you open both at the same time and complete all qualifying activities.
Got my $300. But I think I'll be closing the account soon. I hate chase as a company
Thanks!
Does anyone here know if a ACH/Direct transfer from Fidelity/Cap1/Schwab would qualify for DD?

I got the $900 deal coupon in the mail when the new Chase branch opened nearby and was super-happy to move from Citizens bank.
I already went through a similar deal about 5 years ago (it was $700 and less requirements on Savings) and got everything as promised. Then moved back to Citizens because of the convinience of having a local branch. Now that a new Chase branch opening right across the street from Citizens, moving everythhing to Chase hopefully for good after being Citizens customer for over 25 years (in and out).
is it two years from when you received the bonus, or two years when you closed the account?
Credit cards are 2 years from the bonus but the fine print for this offer says "You can receive only one new checking account opening related bonus every two years from the last coupon enrollment date and only one bonus per account."

Great question. My direct deposit from another bank did NOT qualify hence I never received the 300 dollars. I called customer service multiple times and they told me the 300 dollars should be in my account this week. I eventually went into the branch and they confirmed because my employer uses a third party bank I was not eligible. I would reach out to your employer before opening the checking account especially if you already have one.
Anyone had second thoughts about the "consumer report authorization" needed to complete this deal? Was about to sign up for it when I encountered that direct consumer report authorization request. Upon reading it, it gave Chase almost all information about me at any time to check demographics, social status, and possibly everything else. I understand that they probably can obtain all these information from different sources without my consent, but giving them this explicit authorization without an end date just seems to be too much for me to justify this deal.
I hesitate too, especially with all of our sensitive information being lifted by goons of Muskrat
