It says one time only. Does that mean only one purpose will qualify?

Wait, how can paypal work? The merchart to credit card would be Paypal, not target.
Remember Paypal is not the same as Google Pay. In google pay, the merchant is not google pay.
Read about it. I didn't believe it either, but I tried it and it worked. https://slickdeals.net/f/16994824-bloomingdale-s-20-cash-back-using-chase-checking-debit-visa-or-freedom-visa-credit-card
Also look for Target Circle Bonus.

Have it on my Freedom Visa and Freedom Flex MC.
Can anyone confirm trying to buy Target GCs online and getting the credit? Otherwise will do in-store.

I went through that post and found a bunch of "I had a problem and had to call chase and YMMV if this works", including "I got in on that offer but, my purchase did not triggered the Chase Offer 20% CB after the purchased transaction was fully charged. I called Chase to ask about the issue I faced and they said I have to report back after two billing cycles for them to escalate the issue with the merchant which is Bloomingdale's. FYI, I paid using PayPal and purchased the items directly from Bloomingdale's website."

So I'm not clear this works. Why does anyone want to use paypal anyway, is there some other double dip cashback or something? Paypal adds another layer of pain.

BTW anyone ever try and close a Paypal account? I went through all the steps and it said call this number that nobody answers. Just wondering if they ever got hit with those class action lawsuits like amazon did before they got their act straight regarding closing accounts.

Split payment is another function on PayPal, so you can maximize your credit using multiple cards on purchasing a single item.

Not taking a position on PayPal working or not for Chase Offers, but initially it wouldn't work for AmEx Offers. Of late, I've been reading a lot of posts where people have said that PayPal payments have triggered AmEx Offers. Previously, it used to be just Apple/Google/Samsung Pay only.

Thanks, but the root question is, why would you want or need to use paypal?

Edit, I saw the reply about split payments, maybe that's the answer. Good to know, I avoid paypal except when I have to.

This one is pretty wide spread, and consistent at 10% which is nice. Out of 11 possible cards, I have it on 8. Very cool. That's a lot of spend though to max it lol. 8 x $120 = $960 worth of good and gather!
You got lucky because there are a lot of us that didn't get it on any of our cards. I'm really curious the metrics they use to give folks this offer or not. If I had to guess, the folks that get it have maybe used a Chase credit card at Target at some time in the past. Since I have the RedCard I only use that so maybe that's why I never get it. No clue, just guessing.

I only use red debit at target, so that's not it I think
