This is a great watch I'm not knocking it ...but is it really a dive watch? More a dive style watch.. either way it's a great value and certainly plenty good enough for swimming and showering etc

I wouldn't trust this with my life. Plus the dial rotates freely in both directions. Defeats the purpose. Don't get me wrong as I have a couple of these and also a marlin. They're great budget watches.

You really have to twist the crown to make it move freely. Mine hardly moves.
These are great. Incredibly easy to read due to the contrast of the black dial and white numerals. The cool thing about this one is that it was actually used by NASA for their astronaut training program. Search up MRW200H NASA and you'll find photos of them wearing it.
I wear this exact one when I work on my car. I tend to lose track of time when I'm wrenchin away so having a watch on is important. I'm definitely not going to wear my Longines or Seiko. I wouldn't even wear my Vostok lol. Some people may say "get a g-shock". While they are indeed super durable, they can still be around $100. For $20, this Casio is a true beater. I wouldn't wear my GAB2100 Casioak while working on my car, even if it's a G-Shock and can take the beating.
This Casio is one where you don't have to cry or worry if it gets bashed up. The crystal is acrylic, so more scratch prone. But a little tube of polywatch and 2 minutes of rubbing and it'll look new.

I think you're taking it too serious. Like all dive watchs (from $10 to $100,000+) it is suitable for recreational snorkeling.
For scuba diving you do not want a dive watch. They are pretty much useless. No professional scuba diver will use a dive watch regardless of price and quality. So you can forget about using Rolex submariner for scuba diving . It's pure fantasy.
What scuba divers use are dive computers. They range from around $100 to $1000+. Depending the feature you require.
With that said the Casio is a good affordable dive watch.

A lot of "dive" watches are really "dive-style" tbh
in my experience the band spring bar pins wear out of the cheap plastic dial enclosure quickly. Casio really shouldn't put their name on this... it's more a TJ Max or something watch.
Wanted to like it but it's junk.
