FYI, this CSX model with drone capability (phone start), was $280 1 year ago is lowest it's been according to previous SD posts.

The lowest the DC3 CS4905S-KIT ( aka non-CSX model) has ever been is $220, which was a day October 2023, which I got installed on my 2014 Toyota Sienna. It's been fantastic.

The non-CSX version doesn't get lower than this price though, but often dips down to $250. Make sure you order with the free harness though when you place the order. The guy told me so many times people don't do that and they have to reschedule the install and charge for it.

Here was lowest price for the non-CSX 2 remotes, 3+ mo ago in October. Just a data point if you're wondering how this price compares for premium drone capability.

In for 1… have the non LTE version in one car and like it. Been wanting one for the other car too, since this is almost same price as the regular one seems like a good deal. The LTE service costs between $3-$6 / month depending on how long you buy it for

In for one. Have them on two other cars and for us in Wisconsin, it really comes in handy. The other two are non-LTE, even though this has LTE, not sure if I will ever use it.

What's the difference between CSX and non-CSX? Is it just a line or series of devices?

The CSX comes with drone capability, that allows you to start your car via your phone with an app. Non-CSX you get all the same benefits, but can't use your phone. Normally the non-CSX gets down to $250 fairly often so I'd look at it from that delta, is it worth the $50 to wait or do you need one now. Otherwise, this CSX price is pretty good and common.

Thanks for the info. How do you make sure that it comes with the free harness?

My old car has no factory remote key or fob. Only the basic key. Could this still be used to add the remote lock unlock and remote start function?

Is this kit/setup transferable to another vehicle in the future if I decide to sell my car?

I just bought and installed the CS4905S (non-LTE) version. Looks like the only difference is their LTE module and the second (1-way) remote. I'm not sure I want the LTE, but for the same price, maybe I could buy this and return the CS4905S without uninstalling it. It has the same remote start module part number (CM-DC3). Then I would have the X1-LTE
Drone X1 LTE/GPS Module if I ever wanted to add LTE. I'd have to give back the backup remote.

Has anyone done this or plan to?

Separate fob, which is why kit is required
