Not really, most likely you'll be able to snag one in June. The thing, though, is if the new refresh is Intel Meteor Lake as expected, the reviews on those chips are showing a marked performance improvement over current gen (although not quite sure what the battery life for ultraportables looks like based on early products that have launched to market right now).

I'm personally waiting for the Pro 10 with the new Intel processors to see whether it's delivering the gains that are expected after I returned my SP 9 I bought over the holidays.

Fantastic. Thanks. I have a SP 7 (i5, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD) with performance and thermal throttling issues. From everything I read, it seems like upgrading to a SP9 would not make that much of a difference.

There was an article yesterday saying the SP9+ with 14th gen Intel is coming in March 2024, and the SP10 with a complete redesign and a Qualcomm ARM chip is coming in June with the new Windows OS.

Meantime, I'm eyeing the asus Zenbook Duo 2024. that thing is sexy.

I'd recommend going directly through Best Buy and not Best Buy via eBay, because if you have an issue with the device Best Buy will not replace it. I just received the omen posted last week and it came with a faulty left speaker. I've had a hell of a time trying to get a replacement. I was told to just bring it into the store (from Best Buy via phone) but the rep from store accused me of buying from a fraudulent eBay account because he couldn't find my order. A manager came over and found it. He said he could accept it as a return, but not exchange. I went through Best Buy support via eBay as well, and they said returns only. I called Best Buy again, and they told me I'd have to return and rebuy. The. I escalated and was told I need to go through eBay support to get an exchange, so I reached out last night. I'm waiting for Best Buy's response to eBay. What a s show. If it's not settled by Wednesday, I'm going to the store to return it and never going to Best Buy again. They seem to be going down hill.
