I do not recommend Spectrum Mobile. They are an MVNO on Verizon towers and when the network is congested, you have little to no connection because your priority is so low. There is also no upgrade option for a prioritized connection. I dropped them after 1 month.
I test with the following tiv samsung phones:

A14 $714
A54 $770
S23fe $880
S23+ $994
Trade in my Google Pixel 6A for $757 that I originally got from metro for $50 years ago. Makes this a true slickdeal 🫡

Yes this seems to be the case.
I tried to test create an order and used the IMEI of one of my phones (Pixel 7 Pro) which is in transit now and the system shows the below message

Sorry, your Google PIXEL 7 PRO 5G is not yet eligible for trade-in

There is an outstanding balance on this device and it must be paid off to begin the trade-in process.
Continue shopping for a new device or start over to check another device's trade-in value.
may be its treating it as spectrums device so might have to wait I guess

The spectrum rep got the model number wrong for my trade in but imei is correct. I called spectrum to correct the model # but they said they weren't able to correct it. What are my options? I didn't open the seal for my phones. Cancel the trade in and return or ?? Spectrum says as long as imei is correct, the assurance would accept the trade.

I pre-ordered via phone last week. The phone rep put the model number wrong. It seems moto g play got multiple model numbers from 2020 to 2023. The rep put in XT2041 (2020 moto g play) but mine is XT2165 (2022 moto g play). IMEIs are correct. The customer rep today mentioned as long as IMEIs are correct, assurant wouldnt make a big deal but i am concerned while others are facing issues with their trade ins.

Woof, shipped the phone out yesterday (2/3) and delivery estimate isn't until (2/10).

Ironic they use such a slow return shipping option, when they're only giving 14 day return window. And 30 day trade-in window.

Anybody have a screenshot of the supposed "45 days to receive trade" note on the website?

I should have until 2/27 for my trade, so an extra 17 days on top of my expected delivery of 2/10, but seems like a lot of people's trade-ins have been sitting in the Texas facility for at least a week.

Thank you for that information -- I've been dot-watching my trade-in, and figured I'd check my in-store Walmart purchase's IMEI (it came up clean). Here's to hoping.

Mine has been sitting in TX for over a week. The shipping speed is not the issue, my device got to the destination within a few days. The issue is that USPS and Assurant are not properly processing the packages and tracking information. They are fraudulently misrepresenting the shipping progress and placing the burden on the customer for their own internal logistical issues.

They are probably wasting more money on shipping and processing these device trade ins (and handling customer complaints) than if they just gave us all the credit and had us toss our devices in the garbage.

Whew. Finally showing progress after being stuck at origin for close to a week!
It will be stuck there for another week considering how slow everything is.

Almost all trade in works the same. They give a return label and it's usually very slow (Samsung, Google, Spectrum, etc.). I don't think they care about customer returning or not because it's not their problem once they sell something.

This is true, there is a reason that the MSRP of cell phones has gone up hundreds of percent while other technology like televisions and computers has not, people are brainwashed with cell phones and will pay tons of money for something with less computing power than a $200 laptop just because they stick 4 cameras on it so that you can post pictures to social media sites who profit off you and your data when you use their sites. They are still making money off us even with the $700 discount, so imagine how much they make off people who do not do deals like this.

Just wanted to share my trade-in tracking updates. Dropped off the box at the post office on thursday 2/1 and it was delivered on 2/3. Someone posted earlier that new shipments may be processing earlier than ones sent before so that may be true. Checking the trade status on the link sent by spectrum, that one says device is delivered at warehouse and will be reviewed tomorrow 2/5. Hopefully get the credit in the next few days. Hope this helps someone.

Screw USPS and Assurant, mine was mailed nearly two weeks ago and has been sitting at the destination since before you even put yours in the mail and mine is not even marked as received.
