in this process you will be between losing your old phone or paying in full if trade in get rejected for any reason. adding to this too much communications and wasting of time.
Also Ali, did you ask Spectrum if you can cancel your return and keep the device and get the credit? I am not sure how you shipped it, but if Spectrum will honor the credit if you do not return the device then you could potentially contact the shipper and have the shipment returned.

Or maybe it is a bit of both and Assurant is not being consistent with their checks.
Sent two trade-ins on 1/29 (Metro S23FEs). 1st trade in delivered on 2/1 as per USPS. Second was stuck from 1/29 to 2/3 as "in possession of item" on USPS. It started moving again on 2/3 and was delivered on Monday morning (2/5) as per USPS.
Spectrum acknowledged first trade in and said:
Your device was received at our warehouse on 02/02/2024. It should be assessed by 02/04/2024. No assessment or update, but I now see $898.41 (should be $880, but maybe got some sort of tax back? I'm in Wisconsin.)
Second trade still says In Transit - Your device is on it's way to our warehouse!
I did a chat and they are going to transfer the credit balance back to my credit card in 3-5 business days.
After seeing your post, I checked my spectrum billing account and saw that the credit came in, slightly more than what I was owed (probably some tax returned). This whole mail trade in process is stressful. I think next time, I'll just stick to in-store trade in.

yes I asked them if they can cancel the return but it seems that not possible.

What is not making sense to me is that if you just mailed back your phone yesterday and they have not yet received it, how have they already rejected the trade in credit to your account if they have not issued a refund or processed the return? I would still keep an eye on your Spectrum account, you might get lucky and the promotion posts to your account before they process the return. I am always skeptical of anything Spectrum customer service says since every time I call them they usually tell me something different.
