I do not recommend Spectrum Mobile. They are an MVNO on Verizon towers and when the network is congested, you have little to no connection because your priority is so low. There is also no upgrade option for a prioritized connection. I dropped them after 1 month.
I test with the following tiv samsung phones:

A14 $714
A54 $770
S23fe $880
S23+ $994
Trade in my Google Pixel 6A for $757 that I originally got from metro for $50 years ago. Makes this a true slickdeal 🫡

Anyone else notice their $14.99/month plan is now $19.99/month? I knew they were raising prices but I figured when I signed up - the price advertised would have been honored.

you rock! same here, i see the credit even though assurant says still in assessment.
Where did you find the credit? The only thing I see is the credit under the order details for the phone but that was there from day 1. Under credits it shows 0 for the bill.

That's why I checked with him twice and trice, he said if they don't not send a check in couple of weeks, reach them back and they will email Assurant.

Also, when original order was canceled, I reached out them through chat and the Rep suggested that I place 2nd order without a trade-in and said later trade-in credits can be mapped to 2nd order. I did the same. But now they're saying it cannot be.

If you have a copy of the chat then you have a pretty good case to get your credit if Assurant does not send it. If Assurant sends you a check for the full amount (i.e. $700+trade in) then that is just crazy because then everybody will start exploiting that. If Assurant just sends you the trade in value then f you have a copy of the chat then you could make the case that Spectrum should credit the other $700.
Don't do this. The credit comes back as refund from the purchase made. It doesn't work like you guys think it does.

If the order gets cancelled, there were no purchases ever made so they won't refund you the credit nor can they. You won't get your device back either even if it gets accepted.

it's completely messed up and scam process, after I returned the new phone due to the delay from Assurant "10 days processing" I have been told that I won't get my old phone instead I will get $7 for the credit and no promo.
in this process you will be between losing your old phone or paying in full if trade in get rejected for any reason. adding to this too much communications and wasting of time.
This is why you shouldn't have cancelled until everything was at the very least complete.

Like I repeated over and over to everyone here, be patient. If anything turns out wrong, then you take action. You took action first and just complicated the whole process.

I hope you can get it fixed, but you're in for a long headache.

It sounds like a few people with similar submission dates saw that their accounts were credited without notification, so if you have not checked your accounts (under Billing/mobile) you might want to make sure it has not been credited.
yes, checked it, its $0...

They said that they spoke to Spectrum in a chat and were told to place a second order and would get the credit on the second order. I do not know what other advice to give them besides using the chat as leverage to try and get them to honor what they said. Since they do not have a time machine and undo everything that has happened that is probably their only option now. Spectrum customer service is very unreliable from my experience but if you can prove they told you something then they might honor it.

Hindsight is always 20/20. You condemn the first person for trying to do something that is not in the rules and then you condemn the second person for not waiting until they are outside of the return window and then expect they will be able to get Spectrum to do something that is not in the rules if things go wrong. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Having that proof is going to be worthless in the long run. They will just say that the chat rep was misinformed and will brush it off. You should know by now how these customer service works if you had prior poor experience.

The other person took action too soon like I said. I told you the same thing too which was to to wait and what happened to you? You said it was a miracle but was it really? I guarantee you that if you hadn't waited and opened a chargeback, it would've made for a far more messier situation by now. My point is, don't overcomplicate things if you're not sure what's going to happen.

But hey, what do I know. Hindsight be damned. Trying to give my 2cents so that it's easier for all of you but whatever.

P.S. I got my second trade in credit today as well. Must be some of that little miracle magic working for me too. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Looks like they refund tax for trade in as well, at least in FL. My trade in was accepted at $705 (iphone 6s) yesterday, I then see credit of $757.88 (7.5% tax included) in my account billing today.

You don't have to even try, one plus is the brand of phone that almost no company wants it as trade it, there are others as well especially Sony, they cost same as flagships if not more but afterwards it's either keep using it, find someone who's willing to pay for it or worst case recycle it for free.

Now when I am checking on straight talk activation link, I am not getting error that IMEI (device) not eligible. I am able to see below page: is my moto g is good for trade in now? is there any action needed from my side, my moto g phone already in the warehouse for assessment.

Activate your Phone
Activate your SIM
Enter your SIM number We will associate it with your device
my trade in assessment date was 2/7, today morning few mins back I received confirmation that my moto g trade in was approved for $711.

It's not too late to pre order a OnePlus 12 or OnePlus 12R. My 12R is shipping today I'll have it tomorrow. It's not as cheap as these Spectrum deals but it's unlocked and dual SIM. Trade in or not it's pretty cheap for a huge battery with fast charging and huge screen. When I sell my S24 after unlocking it in 50 days it should easily pay for my OnePlus 12R.

Is the old $14 plan moving to $19.99? I see the price raise in my next month bill, but I never received the price raise notification.

I'm hoping I can argue bait and switch since my order shows $14.99 but first bill is $19.99
