I do not recommend Spectrum Mobile. They are an MVNO on Verizon towers and when the network is congested, you have little to no connection because your priority is so low. There is also no upgrade option for a prioritized connection. I dropped them after 1 month.
I test with the following tiv samsung phones:

A14 $714
A54 $770
S23fe $880
S23+ $994
Trade in my Google Pixel 6A for $757 that I originally got from metro for $50 years ago. Makes this a true slickdeal 🫡

No trade in assessment complete email. Spectrum tradein portal still showing "Your device was received at our warehouse on 02/02/2024. It should be assessed by 02/04/2024." but received the trade in credit in my spectrum account and already have it back on CC with a 2 minute phone call to spectrum.

Received confirmation this morning trade in completed. Good news is, one of the phone was the walmart moto G that wasn't scanned. Just waiting for the credits now.
Timeline: Assurant received trade in 2/2 and received promotion trade in complete from spectrum. But assurant still shows status as delivered on their tracking status.

Has anyone switched the credit card on file to a debit card to avoid losing any promotional cash back from the credit card? I'll probably give it a shot so I don't lose my Amex offers.

I had the same happen. Moto G mailed 1/26. USPS tracking said it was delivered to Lewisville 2/1. I happened to revisit this tread over the weekend and verified with Straight Talk that my phone was ineligible to be activated (not properly scanned by Walmart). Spent two days back and forth with Straight Talk, getting an incorrect ticket #, emailing documents.

This moring I received an email from Spectrum that my trade in was accepted. The portal says the phone was received 2/5 and will be evaluated by 2/7.

The phone is still ineligible to be activated through the Straight Talk website.

The Assurant evaluation process appears to be completely random. Good luck everyone!

I am wondering too. It's mentioned in terms that credit/refund goes to the original payment method card.

Looks like they refund tax for trade in as well, at least in FL. My trade in was accepted at $705 (iphone 6s) yesterday, I then see credit of $757.88 (7.5% tax included) in my account billing today.
Damn, I'm glad you said that. I just checked and see that I was refunded back for tax as well. Good to know.

Is the old $14 plan moving to $19.99? I see the price raise in my next month bill, but I never received the price raise notification.
Same with me, it is as if they can change the price whenever they want. A good reason for not keeping spectrum for long term usage.

They may offer other refund methods when you contact them. They offered me a "check" a few months ago and that ended being a prepaid credit card. That was for my Internet bill but it did save my Amex cashback offer from getting clawed back. I ended up transferring the card to my bank account. Switching a debit card into the automatic payment and deleting the original Amex card would just save a few steps if it did indeed work.

Just got off the phone with them. In my original 2 orders I used my Amex cc for the first one and Citi cc for the second one. The rep asked me what card I want the refund to be submitted to and I told her the last four numbers of my debit card on file. She put me on a short hold and then I received a notification from my bank saying I received credit from spectrum and went to my checking account to see the refund already pending. So it's all good,

Don't do this. The credit comes back as refund from the purchase made. It doesn't work like you guys think it does.

If the order gets cancelled, there were no purchases ever made so they won't refund you the credit nor can they. You won't get your device back either even if it gets accepted.

This is why you shouldn't have cancelled until everything was at the very least complete.

Like I repeated over and over to everyone here, be patient. If anything turns out wrong, then you take action. You took action first and just complicated the whole process.

I hope you can get it fixed, but you're in for a long headache.
This is the reply I got from Assurant :

"I am terribly sorry you were given the wrong information. Unfortunately, we are not able to send a manual check as the credits have already been sent electronically to Spectrum Mobile. It is now up to them to give you the credits on your account. I suggest you may want to visit a mobile store or call the customer support line for Spectrum Mobile again to see if they can provide you with an accurate resolution. This mistake is on their end and there is nothing more we can do. We have no access to your account with Spectrum Mobile and so they will need to be the ones to place the credits on your account."

Did you delete the 2 real credit cards from the account after you added the debit card?
