I do not recommend Spectrum Mobile. They are an MVNO on Verizon towers and when the network is congested, you have little to no connection because your priority is so low. There is also no upgrade option for a prioritized connection. I dropped them after 1 month.
I test with the following tiv samsung phones:

A14 $714
A54 $770
S23fe $880
S23+ $994
Trade in my Google Pixel 6A for $757 that I originally got from metro for $50 years ago. Makes this a true slickdeal 🫡

Anyone have experienced with issue on the trade-in? So I submitted my phone and have everything recorded and documented (videoed) with IMEI and phone turned on. However, Assurant assessed that the phone was • Anti-Theft, • No Power and therefore the Trade-in Credit is $0.

I tried many calls with Spectrum while they said I need to contact Assurant to dispute the condition but then Assurant do not have a contact number that worked to accept my inquiry about the trade-in condition of phone. All of the responses I got from Assurant was that trade-in is deal with carrier rather the Spectrum.

I called Spectrum and they claimed that the trade-in is between Assurant and me and they do not held responsible nor can change anything regarding the evaluation result of the phone.

Basically there is no way at all to dispute the trade-in evaluation by Assurant/ Spectrum.

If I bought an Ultra I would go with black. I usually only play around with other colors with base models. It looks like black and yellow are not available right now of the 512 ultra.

I found this e-mail address [email protected] here

Sounds like some people have reported success contacting that way.

My Trade was denied in the Pixel 8 Pro promo. They were claiming that I sent a different phone.
So I tried to resolve the issue with them via email. after 2 days they kept telling me that I had sent the wrong phone. So I send them snippets from my Detailed video recording.
They were telling me they had to investigate it.
After 4 days when I did not hear anything from them, I filed a complaint with all communication and evidence to the State Attorney General's office, FCC, and FTC. Also Included then in the complaint and communication.

The State Attorney General's office called me and talked with me and they deal with Spectrum. I received an email in 3 days from Assurant with the pictures attached of my original phone with the correct details and approval of trade-in. They send me a Physical check for my trade-in as they cannot update manually in the system.

So I suggest opening a legal complaint before their deadline expires and giving them a fight is the right option for you as you have all the evidence to prove that you are right.

Hope this helps.

I am also waiting for my Trade to be approved too... Hope I don't have to exercise once again the same thing.

Update:
Succker at the ASSURENT changed the status to

Original: Your device was received at our warehouse on 02/07/2024. It should be assessed by 02/09/2024.

Revised: Your device was received at our warehouse on 02/07/2024. It should be assessed by 02/11/2024.

If I can't get response from them with the provided email within next day or 2, I probably will just eat the cost of the phone return fee $50 (and the trade-in cheap phone) and just not worry about the whole hassle with them.

Maybe it was a mistake, you said their reasoning was "Anti-Theft, • No Power " which I am not sure how they are claiming it is both anti-theft and no power.

Right? its so contradictory..

Originally, I have had high hopes on this whole trade-in process since the update as well as the webpage is quite informative overall.

Is this really expired? Can't we still do the trade in for $700 credit until the end of Feb?

Is it a phone you used before? If the IMEI was clean and it worked before you sent it in then hopefully they can check it again. Did you maybe leave it on and the battery drained in transit? Or forget to factory reset?

The original deal was a preorder deal that was good through 1/31 and included free storage upgrade. Technically that deal ended but they they continued offering $700 trade in bonus. I know last year the S23 trade in bonus went on for several months. They could probably keep this thread open with some minor adjustment in the OP rather than launch a new deal thread.

It for sure was factory reset, it was a phone I bought off ebay - but the IMEI check was clean. As far as the battery, yes - it may possibly be the case though I did double/triple check my phones when I do sent them in. Btw, exact same phone sent in for my other line clear without any issue.

Here is a video snippet of how I record my phone info/condition:

Looks like you have enough evidence. Hopefully you will have luck through the e-mail without having to escalate beyond that. The battery indicator looks full but obviously transit time could be enough to drain it if it was left on. Seems pretty lazy on their part if they do not try plugging in phones that do not power on but I would not be surprised. Then again, others seem to report their denials were reversed without any explanation too.
