I do not recommend Spectrum Mobile. They are an MVNO on Verizon towers and when the network is congested, you have little to no connection because your priority is so low. There is also no upgrade option for a prioritized connection. I dropped them after 1 month.
I test with the following tiv samsung phones:

A14 $714
A54 $770
S23fe $880
S23+ $994
Trade in my Google Pixel 6A for $757 that I originally got from metro for $50 years ago. Makes this a true slickdeal 🫡

Since it takes two billing cycles to get trade in, I take it I need to keep Spectrum mobile plan active until then?

Just received an email from spectrum regards to my pre-order delay (S24 Gray). Anyone know if I can pause my mobile service till my phone arrives? Just want to make sure my order still ships even though my line is being paused.

Edit: spoke with the rep, order will still ship. Lucky my current cycle ends 2/14, so I can reactive when the S24 arrives and the plan will get prorated.

Edit 2: looks like the rep couldn't suspend the line due to a pending order. So no go.

"Hello Spectrum Customer,

The delivery of your Samsung Galaxy S24 order has been delayed due to supply shortages. When your device is received by Spectrum, it will be shipped to you, and you will be notified with tracking information."

I'm starting a new line with a new number. I assume the 12 months free starts when I activate my phone and get a number

I got a reply from Assurant stating that I shipped them a completely different phone, and I'm not eligible for any credit. I usually take pictures of any phones I trade in, but this time I forgot.

I'm past the deadline to return the phone. This is turning out to be a really crappy deal.

This might help someone with an issue with an Assurant trade in.. I was looking through Asssurant's website and in the sales section there is an inquiry web form.

https://www.assurant.com/partner-...de-program

Scroll to the bottom of the page and the first drop down has "Customer Inquiry: Trade-In /Device Protection Issues"

It asks for your company name, because it is obviously a sales web form, but enter your name a second time for company name. In "tell us about your business", express your concern or question concerning your trade in. This will be a good way to document your trade in issue if your next step is an FTC/AG/FCC complaint.

Am I the only one who's unhappy with the $19.99 plan price even though my order confirmation email reflects the original $14.00. Has anyone made any progress or push back with Spectrum? They did not budge at all with me.

ask them to check once again, and if you are confident then ask the State Attorney General's office to be involved in it.

I shipped my trade in phones on 02/03. While I checked it in USPS tracking status, no updates since 02/03. Do we know if this is normal?

This was my concern yesterday. No status update and was my last day to initiate a return. So I called and started the return process. I have 14 more days to get them to return so have time to get a final answer from Assurant.
I am in the same boat as you. Tomorrow is the last day for me to initiate return and Assurant has not assessed my trade in yet even though their website states it should have been done days ago.

So today I chatted with a Spectrum rep to get clarification on what happens to my trade in if I initiate the return. She said that as soon as I initiate the return the $700 trade-in promo will be removed, not when they receive the returned phone. And that if my trade in gets approved after initiating the return I will lose the $700 promo and only receive the actual trade in value of the phone (which is like $11 for my walmart moto g play).

Do you see any changes in your account suggesting what she said is true? Perhaps a pending return confirmation or changes to your original s24 order? My s24 order confirmation under billing history shows I am supposed to receive $700 trade in promo so wondering if they have removed that promo from your order. She also told me I have 20 days for them to receive the return unlike your 14 days so not sure if anything they say can be trusted without actual documentation somewhere.

I asked them to re-check and am waiting to hear back. I will definitely escalate the matter if they don't reverse the decision. Apparently they had already assessed the phone on February 5th, but never updated the status on the website. I only found out after emailing [email protected], and after the deadline to return the phone was past.

My original order and the assurant trade in page still shows the $700 promo. The return appeared as another order in my account. Technically if I don't send the phone back, there is no return so not clear how they can adjust the terms of the original order in that scenerio. I spoke with the rep on the phone for a while about the return and he said that was the right move to buy me some time waiting on the trade in.
