I do not recommend Spectrum Mobile. They are an MVNO on Verizon towers and when the network is congested, you have little to no connection because your priority is so low. There is also no upgrade option for a prioritized connection. I dropped them after 1 month.
I test with the following tiv samsung phones:

A14 $714
A54 $770
S23fe $880
S23+ $994
Trade in my Google Pixel 6A for $757 that I originally got from metro for $50 years ago. Makes this a true slickdeal 🫡

Since it takes two billing cycles to get trade in, I take it I need to keep Spectrum mobile plan active until then?
It doesn't take that long, and do you want to unlock the phone? unlocks takes 60 days minimum

My original order and the assurant trade in page still shows the $700 promo. The return appeared as another order in my account. Technically if I don't send the phone back, there is no return so not clear how they can adjust the terms of the original order in that scenerio. I spoke with the rep on the phone for a while about the return and he said that was the right move to buy me some time waiting on the trade in.
Thanks for the reply. Your rep seems to know more what he is talking about so I am inclined to believe him more than my rep who seemed to be in a rush to end conversation with me. Also good to know they create another order for the return so in case we end up canceling the return process they probably will cancel that new return order instead of the original purchase order with $700 promo. Worst case I go through with the phone return and lose out $50 I paid on the trade in phone (plus double storage bonus), which is better than risk being stuck having to pay full price for an $800+ phone, so definitely the right call to initiate return before the deadline like you did, than not.

Hi Guys, my preorders got cancelled without notice. I called the number in the email which took me to fraud detection, they still asked so many public data questions and then finally said they can't get the cancelled order and I should order again. What is going on?

update 1: they are giving all weird responses such as if order is not shipped in 5 days it is liable to get cancelled. and immediately after call my other preorder also got cancelled. in the afternoon I got an email that my order was delayed. I shared DL on their website and they still cancelled it.

Just go buy it at the store. Dont worry about storage. Next year you will use this phone to trade in S25 anyway.

yeah will probably do that. but felt a bit left out Smilie .. like they can twist the system .. guess the deal was too good to be true and these were probably to attract more new customers

I shipped my trade in phones on 02/03. While I checked it in USPS tracking status, no updates since 02/03. Do we know if this is normal?
I shipped my trade in on 02/01 and USPS just shows it still is in transit, no updates either.. someone in here faced the same and seems their phone got delivered and USPS later updated to reflect the same.. so not really sure what's going on.. but am struggling to find the update as well.

I did check with the customer rep who said that as long as we have sent the trade in, we should be eligible for the $700 promo.

I recieved my s24 on 02/02, and guessing returning it might cancel the promo - so no options left other than just waiting.

same boat. says it was to be assessed on 2/7/24 and now pushed back to 2/9/24. Still waiting.
Finally got an email re: the trade in. So.. site had it was received 2/5/24 and was to be assessed 2/7/24. Now site says received 2/11 and assessed today 2/12/24. Email I got says "device mismatch" that the S23 ultra (from last years Google FI deal) they received was not a 512 but 256GB model so they knocked $15 off my original trade in credit. I accepted the adjustment and just went with it. Sooo happy they got the phone considering what other people are going through. Not going to go through this again. This is just such a stressful experience.

I contacted them and they told me that. they processed the trade in after the return so there is no way to cancel the return or return the old phone.

yes I asked them if they can cancel the return but it seems that not possible.
Did Spectrum say you cannot cancel the return because you already shipped your new phone back to them and they received it?

Tomorrow is the last day to initiate the return for me so I was wondering if I initiate the return but not mail the new phone back to Spectrum and keep it with me, will they let me cancel the return when my trade in finally gets accepted (hopefully before the deadline to mail the return), and let me keep the new phone and the $700 promo? And if my trade in gets rejected I can go ahead and go through with the return process.

My trade-in was delivered to Assurant on 2/8 and was supposed to be assessed by 2/10. I just got an email (2/13) that my trade-in was accepted. Thought I would post this incase someone is/was in the same boat as hoping this would still get approved. I sent in one of Moto G Play 2023 phones from Walmart. The delay helped me get the phone activated through Straightalk support since Walmart.com didn't scan the second bar code. I still have one more trade-in that is supposed to arrive at Assurant today... We will see.

Assurant just emailed me stating they reduced my trade in credit to $0 due do "Anti-Theft". I don't even know what that means. I had sent them the Walmart Moto G phone. Does this mean we are completed screwed out of the $700 spectrum credit? No recourse?
