I do not recommend Spectrum Mobile. They are an MVNO on Verizon towers and when the network is congested, you have little to no connection because your priority is so low. There is also no upgrade option for a prioritized connection. I dropped them after 1 month.
I test with the following tiv samsung phones:

A14 $714
A54 $770
S23fe $880
S23+ $994
Trade in my Google Pixel 6A for $757 that I originally got from metro for $50 years ago. Makes this a true slickdeal 🫡

Yeah.

I think the problem is when I moved 6 months ago, I went in store to set up Internet service with spectrum and they were offering one free phone line.

They screwed up a number of things, and it had always said "128GB S22+" under my spectrum account (as I was using the phone up until I sent it to Assurant for trade in).

So I'm thinking Assurant is just going off spectrums information, if you already had the phone linked to your account.

Otherwise there's no reason why the phone should have come up as 128gb instead of 256gb. Still have the box, with the IMEI/etc. on it and it says 256GB as does the settings menu in the phone (which j took pictures of before sending the phone in).

Again, just going to accept the adjusted trade in value and move on.

Definitely going to do this in store in the future, to avoid this type of thing again.
Okay, well their e-mal is [email protected] if you want to try and get it corrected. You probably do not have to go into too much detail, just say that the phone was 256gb and they can confirm with the IMEI and if they need a picture from the box/phone to confirm you can send it.

I will try to do that route so that, there is a resolution in your favor then every penny saved is yours...

Has anyone with a phone with a cracked screen had their trade accepted? Mine was denied and the cracked screen was one of the reasons yet the online trade in portal accepts cracked screens.

Are you able to see the credit in your account?

So Assurant just sent me the dreaded $0 trade in for the Moto G Play for Anti Theft. I purchased it directly through straighttalk online so not sure if that was what caused it. But I had factory reset it and made sure it was fully charged and turned off the phone, so maybe I did something wrong.

At this point I don't think anyone e has been successful appeal assurant. So I am planning on returning the phone and then requesting the the trade in back and trying to do it instore.

Only thing is I already opened the s24 but I have everything except the plastic screen cover it first comes in, so hopefully they don't deny my return also.
Hey for awareness my G play from Walmart was successful so it is possible

My trade-in was finally accepted today. It was quite the ordeal so if you're still waiting for the trade-in to be accepted, there's hope.

I mailed the package on January 24th. It got to Texas on 1/26, and then was sent to Philadelphia on 1/29, and then back to Texas on 1/30. The package made it to the Coppell, TX distribution center on 1/31, and sat there until 2/5. It was finally delivered on 2/6.

My origional estimated assessment 2/8. When that date passed it change to 2/10 and then it changed back to 2/8 after the 10th passed. I wrote [email protected] on the 12th asking for an update. They responded saying it "does show the device has been delivered as of 2/6/24. Please allow 10 business days (Monday-Friday) for the Warehouse to process the device, and have it attached to your trade-in."

I finally got the email today saying that my IPhone 6 was accepted, I actually selected the incorrect storage space (16 gb instead of 64 gb). They just updated my offer with the correct storage.

I'm just waiting for my Spectrum credit to show up now. It took almost three weeks from start to finish. It's definitely the worst trade in experience I've ever had. At least it was accepted, though.

After unlocking, can you reset the device to plain android with no pre-installed Spectrum apps and also be able to get updates OTA?
yes, i'd recommended you wait until you can unlock the phone (60 days) before you flash the unlocked U1 firmware via Odin

Yes. Traded in a device with a cracked screen for the Moto Razr deal. Rep tried to tell me in store that assurant may deny the trade because it was too cracked lol.

Can Assurant deny a device that was accepted in store? If so, that kind of defeats the main benefit of in store trade in if they take back the trade in credit. Or do you mean they were having you mail in the trade in?

They did not have me send the device in. Im thinking the rep was not as informed as they need to be. The stores probably send all devices to assurant but like lou2004 said, once the trade is done and they take the phone right there its a done deal.

That is what I thought, sounds like the representative was confused. They are the ones who are suppose to be deciding if a trade in is acceptable in store.

In store is where this promo really shines, no mailing the trade in. You just need to hope the store has them in stock and gives you Instant credit and hopefully no taxes, fees, or hassles.
