I do not recommend Spectrum Mobile. They are an MVNO on Verizon towers and when the network is congested, you have little to no connection because your priority is so low. There is also no upgrade option for a prioritized connection. I dropped them after 1 month.

Trade in my Google Pixel 6A for $757 that I originally got from metro for $50 years ago. Makes this a true slickdeal 🫡

Now it's unlocked. Now I chatted with another rep, she was also saying it's already unlocked initially. Then I asked her to check some other way to unlock the device. She spent 5 more minutes and it's done.
Nice...

Do you know if it has to be on same number when we are trying activate old device and unlock, for me I used the same number.
For next set of unlocks I am thinking of saving $19.99
I have 3 razor+, 2 of them are in $30 bogo plan and 3rd is on $19.99.
If I cancel the 3rd line now and keep that phone locked and wait for 60 days , then unlock first 2 phones. Then move the 3rd phone into one of those active lines ask for unlock. Does it work?

In theory it shouldn't matter but you never know with Spectrum incompetent CS.

Someone from previous deals had mentioned that as long as the account/line is made 60 days, just insert the sim before unlocking would work...but you really never know until you try.

You guys might have your credits held up but I got a bigger issue with likely Spectrum internal fraud.

I got my assurant assessment approved on 3/16 and credit hit my Spectrum account on 3/17. I requested a refund same day over chat. 3 hours later, I get an email alert saying my autopay method changed, to a new card that I don't recognize and with a zip code half way across the country. I then called up Spectrum to stop the refund from processing into the new payment but was already too late. So they started an investigation. I also changed the security pin on my account. 2 days later, once the refund settled, I get another email alert saying my autopay method changed again, now back to my original payment method, with the new unrecognized payment removed from my acct. All these payment method changes happening without my authorization or consent.

I can only surmise the original rep I spoke with to initiate the refund went rogue after he saw how much money was in the account. It's so easy for any rep to impersonate a customer since they practically have all our security info if they pull up our billing statement. The security pin is right there on the billing statement as well as on the web portal. Now I gotta fight it with them to get the trade in credit back to me. Already initiated a complaint with BBB and will file a police report for grand theft since the credit is over 1k.

If you use a security pin to access your account, i suggest you change it to 2FA where they have to text you a pin every time in order to access the account.
Update on my fraud saga. Spectrum finally owned up to the fraud after my escalation to BBB and their corp escalation team picked up the case. I will be getting my trade in credit back to the right card. They won't disclose the details of the internal investigation but there was clear fraud by internal Spectrum employee(s). As part of this they are recommending changes to security protocols and possibly removing our security pins from account statements and other areas of exposure.

I suggest everyone to setup your voice ID and use 2FA for customer service interactions and avoid using your unsecure security pin altogether.

I initially bought S24 and traded in for S24+ on the same line. Does the 60 day clock start from S24 activation date or S24+ date? S24 activated on 2/6 and S24+ on 3/2.

EDIT: NVM. I think I found an answer from the thread. Smilie

Today is my 60 days. Unlock 2 phones on 2 lines literally took a few seconds to done online via chatting.
I'm thinking to refresh the phones and have done some reading and study, looks like pretty straightforward to do it but can someone please tell me what's the phone driver for? From the steps and youtube videos I have watched, seems no need at all. Just need the correct version of Odin and that's pretty it.

Thanks a lot

driver is most likely auto detect/install by windows. Do a factory reset on the phone before you flash.

I just flashed my s24u and s24+.

I successfully unlocked my s24u last week and called to cancel the line by the of the month.

I also unlock my s24plus last night via chat and ported-out my number to Tello today.

Im assuming that my spectrum service will be cancelled automatically after I ported out. I dont have to call at all?

(one more phone to unlock and port-out before the end of April and im fully done with this deal!)

Thanks!
