Edit: this kit includes the transfer switch while the above deal for $4500 did not. Not sure how much a transfer switch cost.

Seriously. An 11kw "portable" generator doesn't weigh much more but is so much more versatile.
Also the claim that 3.8kwh is "enough for a whole day" is laughable. The average home uses nearly 30kwh a day on average. So let's say you don't use any 240v appliances. Heck, a plain old refrigerator will eat about 4kwh a day by itself. [energysage.com] This would run a small room space heater for maybe 3 hours.
