Reviews seem to indicate it is a decent unit. $179 at Amazon.

If you are limited by space or live in an apartment and worried about too much bass, it is just so much better if you can go with a 12 inch subwoofer. There is such a difference in loudness of bass in a 12 inch sub vs a 10 inch sub

Just received my used - open box subwoofer and it makes a strange chuffing sound from the port in the back. It is enough to be pretty annoying - and the Klipsch support representative said they feel it could be a driver issue. The Klipsch rep also said I need to go through the vendor even though the Open Box terms state that manufacturer's warranty is in effect. So back in the box this goes. Too bad really - since I own 1 in my basement and love it - and the price is now up to $179 on Adorama. I should have gotten the new one. Sigh.

This is an average run of the mill 10" subwoofer. This price is fair. Nothing really slick about it. This isn't to be confused with the MUCH better R-110, R-101, RP-1000, or SPL100 10" Klipsch subs. I don't know why Klipsch has decided to have so many confusing subwoofer names for basically the same product. Could be to cause confusion, they way they do using a different metric than everyone else to measure sensitivity so their speakers look more efficient "on paper".

I also have problem with the open box sub. It has popping sound every 2 seconds. Look like it's the popular issue with a dead amp. It even had a broken piece of RCA connector stuck in the LFE input port. So disappointed Adorama had no check on the returned items.

Hopefully someone will respond. Another thread is critical of the 120-SWi due to the amp being rated at 115 continuous and 230 peak.

I figured that in a hard way, here is my response that posted in a different threat:
ok, I received my subwoofer, neither the box nor the manual inside the box has the specification, meaning there is no where to find whether it is 200W or 400W. It is boomy like a cheap subwoofer, I don't like it, plus it is not going to standby mode (manual says it will go to standby mode in 15 to 20 minutes if I set the power button in auto) even after 2 hours. All in all very disappointing product from Klipsch, btw, I am a huge fan of Klipsch, I replaced all my systems with Klipsch speakers a while back. This is my first subwoofer from Klipsch and this one has to go back.
