Battery wise, the app has a battery status for each lock and will start sending messages to your smart device once it gets below a threshold.
If you miss or ignore the messages from the app, the last option is to touch a 9-volt battery to some posts under the key pad which will give you temp power to enter your pin and unlock it. The kicker is how many people have a 9-volt laying around - so, we now keep one in a zip lock in the garage.
Hopefully that helps.
You might enjoy changing the batteries often or slower connection to your hardware. I'll "settle" for Z wave and "suffer" from great connectivity and battery life.
It's a great value for $50. Makes no sense for $145 given the lack of features and reliance on a touch-screen. I shared so others can make an informed purchase decision, and others here have echoed many of the same concerns I mentioned. You can enjoy your locks all the same without projecting your insecurities on Slickdeals, but you'll have to look for a fight elsewhere cause I'm not interested.

They were fine locks, but I just replaced them last month with Eufy fingerprint locks that don't require additional costly hardware to integrate with my smart home system. I also grew tired of the touchscreen. It is way more cumbersome than actual buttons or fingerprint scan.
At this price, I wouldn't recommend. I can't even offload these on Facebook marketplace.
