Costco also has for same price with three year warranty (called U75K at Costco but same TV according to Rtings). 679.99 minus 4% if you're Executive Member paying with card = $652.79. 8.2 rating at Rtings, pretty bright and good reflection handling per Rtings so should be a good TV for outside which is what I need. Thanks
My experience. I bought a 55h9g a couple months after it first came out. Within the first year, the TV stopped working, turning on, etc. Hisense tried to repair but it didn't fix it. They sent out a replacement. Surprisingly, the "repaired" tv started working, except with visible grid lines. No big deal, I made it into an office tv.
The replacement h9g just stopped working today. Power led keeps blinking and restarting. So now I need to replace it since it's a TV that's used a lot.
I also have Hisense l5f120 I think, that I've had since it came out. No issues with it, but it rarely gets used.
I also have a Hisense a45kv in the laundry room. No issues with that, but doesn't get used often.
I have a hisense h6510g that I got maybe in 2020 black Friday I think. Used a lot, still running.
So that's my personal experience with Hisense. I don't expect them to be lifetime tvs. I do have a 32 inch Toshiba LCD from 2007 that's still chugging along in a guest room, so not used a lot. I also have a Vizio 60 inch m series from 2015 that still working, albeit with lowered brightness.

Do these still have problems disabling motion smoothing or has that been resolved in newer firmware? (I'm trying to talk myself out of going higher-end.)
Bought this in Dec and used it for about a month, really good value for money. Although i had ghosting issues in 4k HDR content and gaming, so not so great motion processing. Replaced it with Sony X90CL and the difference in color accuracy was quite noticeable between the two in both gaming and streaming content. Kept the Sony X90CL finally because of its color processing and motion handling.
I recently purchased a Hisense 55U6K TV from Amazon. Manufacture date was Oct 25, 2023, so just a few months back.
But when I looked at the system info, I see that the it identifies as Android TV OS 11 (current version is 13), which is 3 years old. Also Android TV is deprecated and replaced by Google TV. Additionally, the security patch level is Feb 5, 2023, almost one year old.
Hisense support says all their TV's have the same level OS and no updates are planned.
I'm unsure what, if anything I am missing by having such backlevel software but it wasn't something that I expected with a 2023 model TV, especially one that was manufactured just 3 months ago.
Worst TV brand in existence. I've had a Hisense 60" 4k for few years and I absolutely hate the thing. There isn't a good enough deal to make me ever want to own another one of their tvs.
Love mine!

Bought two 55" from costco for $430/each after the $100 discount. 3 year warranty included. Was in the market for a tv but caved on 2 with the $100 discount.
Are you the type that buy the lowest end model and go into the high end threads and complain about a different product?
Although this person didn't elaborate on their discontent with Hisense, I can concur. I really dislike the poor quality of built in streaming speed that Hisense provides in their products. Mine seems to get slower with streaming app crashes the longer I have it. I have xfinity business, so it's not an internet problem. I use alternative streaming devices instead of the built in apps to watch my programs.

You maybe right. The Hisense I bought didn't last 90 days and then it wouldn't turn on. It was cheap and short life. When it worked, it looked fine.

I'm not trying to argue. Just wanted to also provide some input in reference to what you said
I bought an LG C1, one of the best TV you can buy at the time, and it still has issues you mentioned from your Hisense. It's not a "brand" issue. We also purchased the best Samsung money could buy, think $100k Samsung, and it was even worse. We asked if we could get a dumb TV and they said no
I bought an AppleTV and it's much better than any Roku or FireTV streaming device. The streaming quality and UI is simply better. (I hate Apple with bias btw and am not a fanboi)

Didn't know other brands have the same issues. I guess streaming speed is the same low quality as the speakers that tv manufacturers provide now days. Thanks for the info.
I bought the 75 in version a few weeks ago and really I think it's a fantastic tv for the price. The only thing that was annoying to me is I had to adjust picture setting for every type of format such as if a show displayed in HDR or Dolby Vision. U really have to calibrate it to appreciate it which takes some tinkering. This tv replaced a Sony that u didn't have to adjust many things on but I feel the hisence is just as good. I bought the 5yr warranty though for piece of mind

During blackfriday, I bought this 75 Inch 3 times and returned it because of a line of weird pixels at the bottom right side of the screen. There is a whole chain on reddit about this. https://www.reddit.com/r/Hisense/...ixelsbars/
I went to 3 different bestbuy's to buy it and all 3 were like this. Worst part is, bestbuy display also had the line on all 3 displays. I asked their employees and they said they never noticed it. I noticed it the minute I turned it on.

Fyi the 2024 model is due out shortly (U7N) but that won't get near this price point for a while…
