like you can still use for remote start with the 3000' range on the FOB without the need to buy the sub. Phone app and LTE needs sub to work though, if I'm reading this right. I'm never that far away from my truck so looks like this would work out great. Sub can be added later for LTE use.

Yes, they provide you with the hardwire harness, which is not plug and play ( the t-harness does, but not available for my car)

Ughhh this says that its not compatible with my car (2019 Camry XSE with standard Push to start).

Not sure what the issue is; this did state that it was compatible in the past along with the Non-LTE version which is also saying the same thing.....not sure if I need to fork over something extra but that option is not there...

Maybe you can contact the Auto tech at Best buy and ask him. He'll be able to tell you what you need

Yea that's about where I'm at. The idea sounds nice but I don't want to spend more monthly. Plus the car I want to put this on isn't a daily driver either

Yea the whole reason i want one is to avoid the $160 annual subscription for my car to remote start via an app.

I don't think they would offer to hardwire her if they were Incompetent.

They'll have to use a harness, to get the connections made between Unit and Car …. but instead of simply "plugging it in" to your existing wiring harness plugs/ports, the Tech will have to find individual wires and cut/splice it in.

Ultimately: it'll work correctly, AND you'll still be able to remove the Unit when you sell the car, so there's really no Down Side here, that I can see, for ya.

When you return to get back your car, be sure to ask your Tech where the unit is in the car, and take a photo of where it's at, so you don't forget.
