Below the magic "$10/ah" (8+8+6+6 = 28... 275 < 280) ==> deal = slick 😀

My 9 bit the dust and they refuse to replace it. You need to be careful of the dates on these, some of these could several years from their manfacturing date and still on the racks at the stores.

3 of mine (2 2.0s and a 5.0) do this thing where they blink red/green back and forth on the charger when I'm trying to charge. When I press the battery level button on them they are just dead. Sucks - I am in the market now for some batteries. Anyone know why that happens?

They don't go off of manufacturing date, but the date of purchase. I had two 8.0 replaced (stopped taking charge) under their 3 year warranty at just about two year mark. Just needed a copy of the receipt/invoice.

Bad cell or bad connection to a cell. Can be cause by a multitude of things, typically improper storage.

Yep, most likely go for years without issues.. but there definitely seems to be more complaints on the 8.0 than there are on the 6.0.

I have yet to have a Milwaukee M12 or M18 battery fail on me, and that includes my 6+ year old 9.0 HD that is used exclusively with a string trimmer and blower. Pretty impressed about that, honestly.. and it still delivers 80%+ of its rated capacity.

I didn't have the receipt or proof of purchase so they went by the date...

We have had several 12's and every 9 go bad...

Yeah, if you don't have a receipt it's hard to fault them for denying a warranty that is by manufacturing date out of warranty.

Where do you see the manufacture date? I have these but didn't open them yet.
