As someone who's been in pretty intense physical fitness for a while... I've learned soy protein is one of the better proteins as far as plant based protein goes. Of the plant based proteins you can take, it's probably one of the closest you can get to whey protein. The only reason why you shouldn't be taking this is if some reason you have some sensitivities towards soy products. For those who are about to throw "soy = estrogen = bad!", hate to break it to you but even as men, we need estrogen to build strength and muscle.

If you're physical active and not just some hop on the treadmill for 30 minutes and call it a workout, you'll likely be fine. If you're gaining weight on these and you're not sub 10% body fat, it means you don't actually take physical fitness serious enough. I know this will be likely be downvoted but just remember that downvoting someone online doesn't improve your fitness level. Go ahead and downvote but in return go harder at the gym(or wherever you exercise) the next time you go at it.

With all of that said, this bar is obviously targeting people who likely doesn't know too much about fitness and thinks eating protein is enough to meet their goals(so they opt for the better tasting protein bars).

No, you are calculating your calorie burn way too generously. Even without giving details, I bet it's more like 700 calories or you are spending way too much time running. And lifting is not aerobically heavy at all. You'd have to be an absolute monster and your advice would apply to almost no one.

Hopefully this flavor is okay. The super cookie crunch is good but the cookie dough was unedible.

Frickin expensive for a garbage candy bar. Take a look at Costco Kirkland protein bars, much better and much healthier with way less sugar crap, less protein, but a worthy trade. And yes, I understand what these are forz but protein bars have other uses as well, like being a viable breakfast or great option for a healthy snack and or diabetic needs.

If you sit on a couch all day sure…. But 410 cals is nothing if you are an active person. My morning run burns 1,400 calories every day. Then evening lifts during the week about the same ballpark...

The metrx bars all taste amazing especially the apple pie one, but I treat them as semi-healthier candy bars

The first ingredient is soy protein. These are $14 for a reason

People will complain about the calories of this stuff, but it's meant to replace a meal and is pretty decent for that. There are much worse things you can eat for the same calories (I splurged on an In & Out burger recently and it had about the same amount of calories). Just try not to expect the world in a candy bar wrapper.

It may have HFCS and lots of sugar, but at least there are no carcinogenic artificial chemical sugars! Protein bars with any of those are far worse.

No downvote here, I can't even see that stuff due to using SD on a web browser.
I bet I'd get less downvotes from those with nothing better to do if they knew I can't even see them! laugh out loud

I only know about it at all because a couple of people have told me. Some people can't take being wrong.

Good info, repped.
