Wouldn't the the Front Page deal for a B550M Pro Wifi + Ryzen 7 5700G $199.99 be a better deal as you get a new B550 board for only $42 more?
This deal mainly benefits those who have an existing AM4 platform already that can support the 5000-series CPUs, so the B450 chipset or newer. The bundle adds a motherboard for 26.6% more than the deal price for a component they don't need.

For others not already on a supported AM4 platform for the 5000-series CPUs, they are better off jumping to AM5 since AM4 is a waning platform and support for any AM4 chipset, including the B550, is going to continue to taper off.

Is this still a good CPU even if you have a graphics card? It has lesser cache than a normal processor right?

It has PCIe 3.0 instead of PCIe 4.0, but can still support an x16 connection to a graphics card. An RX 6500 XT would be a bad GPU to pair with it since it has PCIe 4.0 x4 that gets downgraded to PCIe 3.0 x4.

Half the L3 cache, lower clock speeds. Not that much slower than a Ryzen 7 5700X.

It's not ideal for everyone, but if you think you will end up with this CPU and no graphics card, you have some peace of mind there. Starting with Ryzen 7000, almost every CPU has graphics with the exception of 7500F, and then the brand new 8700G has much more capable graphics that can plausibly be used for 1080p gaming.

Is there any advantage of running an APU with a GPU? Or does it cause conflicts of interests when running games and programs?

No, it's not like running two dedicated GPUs in the PCIe slots. Your display-out's only going to be coming from the GPU itself, so even if the GPU fails the integrated graphics will not work unless you plug a display into the Display-Out port on your motherboard. It shouldn't create any conflicts

No, in some cases its better, I like to pair my setup with amd gpu bc of smart access memory so I get that 10gb (8+2 vram combined) VRAM which would make certain games that require more than 8gb ram playable. Most of the games that were released early 2023 and older rarely ever goes beyond 50% usage, to my experience at least so it all works out.

It depends on the price of the 5700x or 5800x which are slightly faster and support PCI Gen4. The 5700g will be 5-10% slower overall.
The 5700G really shined 2 years ago when GPUs weren't available but now it's only ideal based on price or for minimal builds (no vid card) or for AI image generation as there is a special use case where the APU can help tremendously with that: see https://old.reddit.com/r/Amd/comm...pu_and_it/

I have this CPU. My only regret is that it does not support PCIe Gen4. If I didn't have an NVMe drive currently running at half speed due to this, I would be completely happy with this. This thing just works and it works well. The iGPU is great as well. The fact that I don't require a dedicated GPU is pretty awesome. High-end games at the best settings, no, it can't do that. But, adjust some settings and you can play anything, really. This is a perfect CPU for a media PC or a kid's machine who is getting into gaming.

Would like to point out many AMD gpu's can do hardware transcoding for Plex now. The point being that the G series can have a second life without a graphics card after you upgrade in the future. This would be a powerhouse homelab for MANY years to come.

All of that being said I think the 5000 series has seen its days come and go. Time to step forward a generation or two unless your upgrading an old first or second generation Ryzen and have a board that can support it.

Unless you regularily have extremely heavy loads on your nvme drive, 99.9% people won't be able to tell a difference in performance. I put gen4 drives into a few systems that can only handle gen3, only because gen4 drives aren't any more expensive lately. Wasted performance? Maybe. But could care less. I'm not running anything where a second or two difference would matter. Depends on how the machine is being used.

It does have less cache, but not by much for most workloads.

I use a couple of these for a virtual machine cluster because it has a decent sized cache (and it's Ryzen 7). The onboard graphics is OK for gaming but it also means I don't need to buy and install a power-hungry graphics card in a virtual machine host with no monitor.

It's a good compromise, plus it's AM4 so there is a range of cheap motherboards to use. I'm glad to see the prices have come back down close to where they were last summer.

It's also not considered an APU because the graphics are considerably better than APU graphics.
