I use the line trimmer with 4ah batteries, it goes about 30-40 minutes of normal trimming, enough to handle our 1acre lot. If you have it on high and are hitting thick weeds you could probably kill it in 15 minutes

FYI you have to sign in to brickseek now

Brickseek showed one store nearby with "Limited stock"
I found one up top, second overhead shelf. It was yellow-stickered for $229 but rang up $99
Now brickseek shows none nearby.
Good luck hunting

Thanks OP! Been looking for these separately but the combo was definitely better. If anyone still looking for one in Los Angeles, there's 7 more in the Huntington Park location on a pallet on aisle 3 lol

Edit: Confirmed both of my older 4ah batteries fit fine.

Thanks! Grabbed last one at Southcenter
I grabbed one there as well. I walked up right when the associate was getting it off the shelf for another guy who saw it on slickdeals.

How powerful (or not) is this trimmer? I like the blower, but already use a 40v Kobalt trimmer- which I find just barely sufficient. Would this be a step down, power-wise?

Rigid is a no brained for $99. And best for people that have lots of batteries like me. DeWalt is better for people that have other DeWalt tools.

I want the Rigid…been waiting for the yard tools to finally come…but of course I can't find the deal in Chicago. Haha but lots of DeWalt

i dont have any Dewalt tool or Ridgid, this will be my first yard tool, so both of them work for me. $99 is hard to beat, and Ridgid battery is around $60 i think. i just heard Ridgid blower is not that strong, its the only thing I'm stills tuck on it. i have a lot of leaf to blow for my yard.

Agreed, stick with your existing brand.

And if you don't have a brand, note that Rigid has lifetime warranty - if you register within 90 days. Also the tools and batteries tend to be less expensive.

From my experience and friends, it is debatable that DeWalt is better. I know of more DeWalt tools that have failed than Rigid. Similar mix of friends with each brand.

And of course there is the somewhat sleazy way DeWalt claims "20 volt" when their batteries are the same 18 volts as everyone else. All these batteries, when new, will measure over 18 volts, but quickly drop to 18 volts. All brands lied and called their batteries "12 volts" when that was the standard. The difference is all the other brands "got honest" with the 18-volt standard. DeWalt refused.

Just found them in Brewster, NY - they were way up on top in the outside garden area, wrapped on a pallet with some Ryobi mowers.

I got one and there were two left. The boxes were pretty thrashed - they'd gotten wet from a leak in the roof - but unopened and fine inside. Still had the $379 stickers on them. Good luck!

Cortlandt, NY still shows some in stock as well.

Picked one up in San Antonio it rang up $99. There are 4 left before closing. They are not on display. They are high above with the electric weed eaters at Bitters Rd HD
Yes same in Baton Rouge, LA…this weekend brickseek said there were two at two different Home Depot's then today the store located in the more popular location disappeared from brickseek but the other store in a less visited part of town still said two available — of course the HomeDepot website said there were none…

I found one box intermingled with the ryobi sets high up above the displays… don't see any others.

Rang up for $99, what a deal! And I've been looking at a better blower for a while now!

I haven't had a chance to actually use it on grass, but it seemed just as powerful as my brother's 80V Kobalt on normal mode and there is a switch to make it even higher speed.

I don't like the trigger safety but I am certain I will get used to it.

Conversely, the Ridgid blower sounds like it has lower power than the 80V blower. The 80V blower sounds like a jet engine at full speed.

I received one yesterday and was able to test out the blower to blow out my garage. I liked the weight and the power was enough to handle the job. I also have a gas powered option but what I think is nice is that in the winter storage months I can drain my fuel so it does not sit and age and this battery option can fill in as an alternative. In addition, I like that I can store in my basement without the fuel smell. Then when I go to blow of the back deck, I don't need to go to the shed to retrieve my gas powered. This deal is sweet if you can find one

I called my local store in MN and they told me it was internet only when I gave them the SKU? Or perhaps the in store SKU is different? Or perhaps I have another reason to move South to warmer weather haha.

What specific trouble? I haven't received any decisions on my LSA but while registering this tool set I noticed both my blower and my trimmer have the exact same serial...different tool model number but same SN. Box did not look like it was tampered/
