Few things to note about these:

They don't require the laptop have DP alt mode on the USB-C connector, which can be a plus, but this means the displays are using DisplayLink which is an abstraction layer built up on USB, and uses the CPU and GPU to render these displays in software. Which if your system is decently powerful and has a dedicated GPU, isn't really a huge issue, but if it has only CPU integrated graphics, DisplayLink performance can be quire terrible under certain conditions, like doing anything that's tasking the GPU with even something as "simple" as YouTube playback, and gaming is out of the question.

They're generally fine for most office uses, but gaming is not going to be a fun experience and if you have no dedicated GPU, even watching videos can lead to the display becoming a stuttering mess.

DisplayLink is useful, but it's not a replacement for a true display connection, like docks that connect over DisplayPort alt mode. But if your laptop doesn't have DP Alt Mode, this is the only way you're going to get a docking station, so it does have some uses.

If you have WalMart GC to burn, they have it also for $20, the seller being HP

Just a heads up, this is a displaylink dock.

Probably fine for most users and office use. Just be aware it will require additional drivers to output video to an external monitor, and you will not be able to drive dedicated GPU graphics to an external monitor with this dock if that is something you need.

The 'price you could get it before this deal' was like $80..90, not $330. But still a slick deal. Ordered one.
PS fixed "real price"

Is this useful if we don't have laptop? Just for charging iPad and perhaps connecting it to monitor?

Targus will gladly sell it to you for $289.99. I agree that it's massively overpriced, but it's certainly the 'real' price.

Sign up as a new HP user and the $20 off $65 coupon works.

I was going to buy 2 but got 4 for the price of 3 with that coupon; can use a 3rd and will sell the 4th.

The reviews at HP indicate this is DisplayLink, so you will need a driver to use the display, and it won't work with Steam Deck. While it can work on Macs with the driver, this is a dealbreaker for me.
It is crap. DisplayLink uses CPU resources than USB-C dp alt mode from GPU.

I'm not able to see it for that price , only Newegg as a seller which cost $75. Is it gone?

Someone posted this link earlier with a lot better pictures of this particular dock:
https://us.targus.com/products/us...dock192usz

Hope that helps. Looks like there is a second USB-C port.
That does help, thanks.

Too many peripherals come exclusively USB-C nowadays. I like to avoid janky adapters.

I was looking for one that supports mac dual monitor for my m3pro chip - will give a try with this one. The one that I already have has only one hdmi port and 2 display ports- m3 needs 2 hdmi for dual display.
You could just get a display port to hdmi cable too. But this is nearly as cheap as a pack of cables..

Yah, as a few other noted, looks like it's dead at non-HP retailers.

ordered then. I saw this…. Welp wasted 20$ not risking my electronics
ONE review. Could be a defective unit. Could be user error. I'm not nervous at all.

Just to be clear, I can connect my laptop's USB C to this dock and display it to two monitors via DP or HDMI?

For those of you with work computers where you don't have admin access to install software, this is NOT a workable choice because of the need to install drivers.
