Some people are mad at them for advertising on Laura Ingraham's show. That might be the witch comment.

I found this to be interesting from Wiki: "In August 2015, StarKist settled a class-action lawsuit claiming that the company was guilty of deliberately "under-filling" five-ounce cans of tuna. Earlier that same month, StarKist was sued, accused of colluding with Bumble Bee Foods and Chicken of the Sea to fix prices.

On October 18, 2018, StarKist agreed to plead guilty to a felony price fixing charge as part of a broad collusion investigation of the canned tuna industry by the United States Department of Justice. On September 11, 2019, StarKist was fined $100 million, the maximum statutory fine.

A hundred million dollar fine...peanuts to them, I guess.

Mercury is the last thing to worry about from StarKist. Should call it WitchesKist.

Nice find. 1/3 cheaper than regular price at WalMart or Kroger stores.

The concern is not trivial, but I get your reason for making fun. Anyway,I like the texture of chunk light better, so it doesn't matter to me. Cheaper, tastier, safer. The trifecta!

But that is a medically inadvisable amount of tuna

I understand the numbers. Now split this volume across a family. Body mass also matters. Don't eat a can a day.

I got on an Amazon Fresh sale/coupon two weeks ago. Ended up with 30 cans of Starkist Salmon and 31 of Starkist Albacore for $8 total!! All expire September of 2026. I'm good for awhile. 😂
