Best Buy is selling Geek Squad Certified Refurbished DJI Mini 4 Pro drones with the new RC2 Remote Control with Built-In Screen. Various bundles available:
  • DJI Mini 4 Pro w/ RC2 Remote - $770 [bestbuy.com]
  • DJI Mini 4 Pro w/ RC2 Remote, Fly More Plus Combo - $800 [bestbuy.com]
    • Combo kits come with a carrying bag, 2 extra "plus" batteries, and a two-way charging hub.
    • Note: Although this comes with the Plus Intelligence Batteries with extended flight time, these batteries puts the drone over the 249g weight limit
  • DJI Mini 4 Pro w/ RC2 Remote, Fly More Combo - $900 [bestbuy.com]
    • Combo kits come with a carrying bag, 2 extra batteries, and a two-way charging hub.

There are mixed reviews from slickdealers who bought Geek Squad Refurbished drones from Best Buy. It has really been hit or miss. Be ready to need to return it if you are unlucky. Common complaints include: drone still being linked to the previous owner, sometimes the drone is badly damaged, etc. While others have said the drone they received is in pristine condition with low flight hours logged. YMMV.

Also, you can still get DJI Care Refresh but you will need to follow the slightly longer process that includes recording a video of the drone for a visual inspection.

Choose store pickup and check carefully while you're there in front of them, return on the spot if needed. If the remote is paired to the aircraft, chances are you can unbind from previous account which is very likely still logged in, just connect to Wi-Fi or tether to your phone and unbind.
Canceled my shipping order and will reorder for in store pick up.

I tried contacting and calling the previous owner.. (I had his email still in the bird) and I called DJI customer service a few times.. For me , it was impossible to unbind the account from the drone.. Have you actually tried what you talking about.. Unless it recently changed , I do not believe your information is correct.
Of course that's exactly what I did, Mavic 3 via DJI fly app. There's a window the app would automatically log out, before that happen just connect to Internet and unbind, but after that point you're out of options.

wait, returning on the spot will help you avoid the restocking fee? so, restocking fee only applies to purchases that leave the store? if they let you open up everything first and you can show them on the spot that it doesn't work and they'll refund you 100% then....deal!

I bought one last time. As far as I can tell everything was new and unused. gimble still had protecive stickers on it. It even came with an extra Plus battery ( 1 regular and 3 Plus). I was hesitant, but I guess I was lucky
I had the same experience as you. Mine was brand new and not bound to an account. I was very hesitant in buying it, but pulled the trigger and I am very glad I did. Buying refurb is always a gamble. Guess we got lucky. I think it is worth the shot.

its what I heard here on SD. As for my own experience, when I picked up mine last time at BB I told the employee I need to inspect it and if doesn't meet my expectations I'd return without restocking fee. She agreed. Luckily it was in great shape and unbinded.

Worse case you get the manager and double check, if they don't budge just cancel the order on the spot.

I made it pretty clear about the condition to unbind. Believe what you want to believe. But tell me what's the difference between the original owner doing the unbinding, vs you the second owner doing it? The remote controller doesn't know who's clicking the unbind button. 😂 Have you even tried to unbind yourself?

Nobody. I'd bet 99% of law enforcement doesn't realize there is such a law. Think and hope they've got better things to do than worry about someone's flight battery being a couple grams heavier than it should be. If you fly responsibly, you won't have a problem. Have fun.
100 percent agree. This being said, the registration is super easy and cost what? 5 bucks for 3 years I think? So not a huge barrier. Just make sure you avoid all those websites that try to scam you and charge you more than the 5 bucks. Use only the .gov one, which is not the first site that shows up when you look for registration. In 5 min and 5 bucks you are done for 3 years and peace of mind.

DJI doesnt even show full email , had ths issue , there is no way to unbind.... it's worse than macbook;s icloud , i bought used macbook from amazon and it had still apple id attached , but apple shows full email and i was able to contact previous owner... Those selling used & refurbished drone had no idea even Amazon Warehouse deals...

But those RC , RC2 controller versions seems to be mostly dont have that binding issue.

I got the plus combo and only downside was I received 2 regular battery and 1 plus battery. But everything was in perfect condition and 2 of the batteries had 0 battery cycle. I immediately contacted dji support with bestbuy invoice mumber and they were able to add dji care refresh without sending any video proof.

100% agree..... , Ive done this more times than I want to admit... I think he might be confused with the fact that the bird WILL allow a new user to sign in to a bound account and fly it around ... However, there is only a limited amount of times it will allow the new user to do so before not allowing him to proceed beyond the "take off point".. If memory serves me correctly there is a warning that literally pops up and says , You have 3 more additional logins before needing to unbind and rebind to continue flying. Not trying to start a pissing match.. just sharing my negative experience hoping I can save another person from the frustration. peace

That's a different situation where previous user login already expired (DJI automatically sign you out after a few weeks) and at that point no one can unbind the bird except the previous user. I've heard one or two people managed to get DJI to unbind but I won't count on that. Just return on the spot. Yes you're right you can fly a binded bird for a little bit but with lots of limitations (range, altitude etc).

What I was talk about is where the previous user still logged in on the remote controller DJI fly app, and because of that you can just click unbind once connected to Internet.

Do these go back in stock as they become available or is it over once out of stock?

It's pretty random as they get returns etc. The price has gone up to $999 in the past thought too.
