If BS shows clearance, call your local HD. In the automated prompt, you can provide an item # and it will actually tell you the price.

You don't need to drive all the way to local store to check price

If Brickseek shows full price, is it safe to assume it's not on clearance in store?

Also, just called and had the automated system check pricing and it told me the same amount as brickseek shows.

You will have to go to the store to find out if it is available for pickup for 199. Online will always tell you what the website displays.

I was in the store buying the last one and heard the phones ringing off non-stop going unanswered, I can only assume that was people trying to get my mower Big Grin

Did you go get it? Because I will if you don't want it. But it's a 30 minute drive for me. So let me know!

Highly recommend reading thru some of the reviews before purchasing this. Battery life sounds terrible. I think it's on clearance for a reason.
My theory is that some Makita products with batteries have been not moving. Now those bundled batteries are nearing end of life so they need to sell them ASAP before they end up with total loss. HD seems to do the same with Milwaukee m12 tools.

dang what a steal! batteries alone are worth that much.
That scares me into thinking about how much replacements might be a few years down the road...
