The tool is a beast. Used it to trim branches on a number of trees that were taken out by a tornado last summer. However, keep your free hand away from the cutting end as you will easily lose a finger if you're not careful.

I can't stress it enough to only use one hand and don't use the other hand to hold onto anything. One mistake and it will snip your fingers off. I swear this device is more dangerous than a loaded gun

Like hand grenades and chain saws keep this beast away from children. Remove the battery immediately after use.

buying a pair is actually safer, as long as your other hand is occupied with something Big Grin

On the Ryobi deal people were calling anyone who needed a tool like this a pansy. I have the ryobi version and love it. But always mindful of what i'm doing with this when cutting branches. With how quickly you can cut everything right into the bin just have to keep pace with moving the branch, this is more scary then a wood chipper. And like someone else mentioned i keep mine stored way in the back of everything with no battery.

Probably. I want the Milwaukee version but I settled for this. Have cut 100's of branches now and it cuts through most things I threw at it under 4 inches in circumference

absolutely. I got this on the last FP SD. It's incredibly scary how strong it is. I was amazed. This could easily take a finger off up to the knuckle...

I love this tool, but It is so dangerous. Whenever possible I keep my non-tool hand behind my back when using it.

I got this for my 90 year old grandma and she loves it. Any thugs try to mess with her, she takes a finger
