I have a OnePlus 11 256gb. I am not on social media, regularly download all my photos to my computer and wipe out the gallery, and have just a handful of games and apps I use for work.

Current storage usage: 101gb/256gb.

I don't know why it is the way it is, probably NSA related tracking or just poor coding on developers part. But, he's not wrong in saying that 128gb is pretty abysmal at this point.

It's a price point phone from a budget brand. The 128gb storage is adequate as long as the user periodically offloads photos and videos to the cloud. The more serious concern is the quality of the cameras. Motorola phones do not have a good reputation in this regard.

Most Moto phones that I have owned only received updates for a year (or maybe) two. What is the situation on updates with this one ?

This is a very good phone. Say what you will. I have always liked Motorola phones. I prefer it to the s24 I just got. And for the price it's a no brainer

MediaTek Dimensity 1050 is a very slow processor. Pass.

I just returned this phone yesterday.

It's an OK phone at $209 when I bought it two weeks ago, I just didn't like the camera very much and battery was mediocre.

Father of 4, so I want a really good camera and still $$ leftover for diapers.

Granted this IS the 2022 edition.

I'm back to using my moto one fusion plus from 2021 until I can find a better replacement. (Thinking oneplus 10t??)
We have both this phone, Pixel 6 and Pixel 6a in our family. I really like the screen on the Moto but if you're looking for a better camera at a reasonable price you might want to take a look at the Pixel series.

You must be the type of person who takes 50+ selfies of yourself/day?
Selfies barely take up space compared to apps, you know, the things smartphones use?

Needed a second phone for a business line, was deciding between this or the Pixel 5 for $10 more. Went with the Pixel. Still has a great camera and also getting security updates.

I believe Android 14 (which came out last quarter) is that last update that this phone will receive. Presumably security updates through end of 2025.

I'm just here trying to figure out why this came up under my "pixel watch 2" deal alerts.

I have this phone since last year. Part of the Tmobile free phone deal. I keep it as a backup phone.

IMO it's an awesome phone worth $200. Fast, light and the battery last a long time.
It's much better than the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G which I also got for free.

3 version updates and 4 years of security updates. Another thing to note is how fast they do the security updates each time. Slow/late security update will leave a window for attackers to exploit the unpatched phones.

I got a couple of these from T-Mobile's "free after trade-in deal" (side note, T-Mobile version has 8 GB of RAM, not 6 like this model, but still 128 GB storage), used mostly by my kids.

All they really do is play games like Minecraft and take pictures, and most of them are about 60% full already, and they've only had them two months. I would agree that if you expect to keep a phone for two to three years (or longer), 128 GB is on the low end.
photo or app delete feature works well

Phenomenal budget phone. Really surprised to see existing complaints about the camera quality, because it performs excellently and I could not recommend it more.

128gb is on the lower end, but I backup to Google photos, so I still have immediate access to photos even if they're not local to my device. I don't play any games. It's hardly a compromise.
