The reason this is heavily discounted is probably because reviews are poor, and there may a lot of defective units. Users prefer its 24,000 predecessor, which is now priced higher than this "upgraded" version.

In 2024 theres no such thing as a phone that doesn't do fast charge. If you want to do slow charge on a phone then you just use a USB-A to C cable so you can cap your phone off at 15-18w or slower charging. Your phone will automatically trigger PD charging profiles regardless if you disable if you disable fast charging or not.

Heat also degrades a battery. Faster charging produces more heat.

I've never seen a deep study of whether fast charging produces enough heat to degrade a battery. That being said, if I have time, I slow charge my devices

1) Your phone controls how fast it wants to charge provided the charger can supply it. Most phones have options to limit it or disable fast charging.

2) If your phone don't have that option, don't get this.

Title is correct but the description is wrong. It doesn't come with the charging base.

Fast charging isn't going to hurt or degrade the battery. It's the charging to high State of charge. Charge it when battery level drops to 20% and unplug it between 80 and 90% and your battery will last even longer.

Androids have an option now in the battery settings, at the very bottom, a new menu option to 'stop charging at 85%' which I have turned on, so it helps preserve the battery And stops charging at 85%. Great feature.

Anyone know how this compares to their black Friday pricing? Is this an all time best price?

I noticed the reviews as well. Now I have to decide if I want to cancel the order or not.

The new S24 Ultra caps it at 80%. It would be nice if the manufacturer would just let us pick from a range. My laptop can cap at 60% and I wish my phone could do the same.
