i disagree with the above posters who think this isn't a good sign up bonus. this comes with a companion pass for a little over 12 months. so it all depends on how you'll use this.

Thirty thousand points for spending $4k is terrible. I got 75k points just two months ago. Anything less than 50k is not worth it and even that is on the low side. Wait if you can.

Edit: The companion pass is worth it if you plan to travel at least twice with a companion. The extra 45k points I got are worth ~$550.

its because they think you're overleveraged already with them. as someone mentioned its easy to move credit around with chase cards. i've used this to actually ultra-load 1 of my cards to have a $160k spending limit that is 0% APR lol. which i then use to invest.

No. You can only get a bonus every 24 months.

You can get the companion pass by earning 120K+ every year or with a promo. If you get the promo youll have the pass for 1 year but youll have to wait another year after that to get a promo again.

Your eligibility has nothing to do with your wife's bonus earning. You can apply now, fulfill the spending and get CP. However, your wife won't be able to. The current offer expires on 3/11/24. If she applies before this date, she is not eligible for bonus.

Last year when they offered this deal, they also sent mailers with the same offer, except with 50k points. If anyone receives one of these, it would be helpful to know this. We'd then know that this version of the offer is going out in the mail soon.
